    This gets more comical (if true)... hey Fatty... we have sold thankyou...!!!!

    FFS..

    http://www.themag.co.uk/the-mag-articles/mike-ashley-insider-says-newcastle-will-sell-buy/?

    A Mike Ashley insider at Newcastle United has put out the message that United will …‘probably have to sell before we can buy’.

    Maybe they haven’t noticed that the number of sellable commodities is rapidly diminishing, with only the obvious carrying any big price tag, the likes of Krul and Tiote plus one or two others such as Remy, who sadly isn’t ours and isn’t likely ever to be.

    The ‘sell before we buy’ message has been put out via the Mike Ashley insider in an article on the Newcastle owner’s own website, the woeful Football Direct News.

    That message included in a rubbish transfer speculation story that links Newcastle with £10m rated Brazilian winger Douglas Costa of Shakhtar Donetsk.

    The article states that amongst the players who would likely be sold to pay for the incoming transfer is Hatem Ben Arfa, though exactly what his value is after this current season’s ‘form’ is anybody’s guess, substantially less than £10m I’d assume.

    The club insider quoted on the Ashley website states;

    “We will probably have to sell before we can buy and it is possible that it will be Ben Arfa that makes way.

    “Costa is a top talent and though there might be a lot of team in for him, we would be interested in trying to do a deal.”

    As the journalist who wrote this article is paid by Mike Ashley to do so, we can only assume it to be true and that the message coming out of the club is that Newcastle will have to sell more players before any can be bought.

    The only other scenario is that the journalist has made all of this ‘exclusive’ up simply to grab headlines and make money…for Mike Ashley.

    With Mike Ashley having such high scrupulous standards when it comes to inaccurate journalism these days, then surely the Newcastle owner would take immediate action to sack the said journalist and make sure there would be no repeat of any ‘false, misleading, mischievous or inflammatory reporting’.

    The recent banning of the Sunday Express leading to Mike Ashley putting out the following club statement;

    ‘Journalists and newspapers which print such wholly inaccurate stories should be aware that there will be consequences for their actions.

    Newcastle United will not accept false, misleading, mischievous or inflammatory reporting such as this and will take appropriate action as and when necessary. To this end, Newcastle United can confirm that the Sunday Express is banned with immediate effect.’

    We'll have nothing left to sell in the summer.
    Anyone for a permanently crocked ryan taylor?
    A betting wizard cisse?
    An u18 stalwart Marveaux?
    An evidently fit Dan Gosling?
    An even fitter Ben Arfa?

    The accuracy of reporting angle is quite amusing!

    How could they release something that wasn't true without running the risk of imposing a ban on 'Football Direct'? (Which sounds like a Sam Allardyce website btw)

    Lol not sure what to think if indeed true. Good ol' Mike has swindled folks for a good period now, starting from when we sold Carroll for 35million. On top of that were sales of Enrique , Nolan etc which netted us lower profits, but still substantial ones. And everything has been swept under the rug. My last memory of a signing was Anita, and the dude has been here for awhile already.
