    Hull City 14-1
    9 clubs worse odds
    We finally seem safe
It looks like 36 will be enough points to avoid relegation

I think it might be even less than that. Teams like Palace, Sunderland and WBA have got some pretty horrendous games left and Cardiff/Fulham aren't picking up many points.

My forecasts: 34 points will be the threshold, we will get 3 more wins and finish on 42 points.

It was 219/1 on Betfair for a few minutes earlier.

I'm not chicken-counting yet but I said before the season started that we'll finish in our highest ever position and I stand by it.

If you take teams points and divide by the number of games they have played and multiply by 38 to extrapolate their results so far to the rest of the season then 35 should be enough (especially given our goal difference).

If we finish around half way then that will be a fantastic platform to improve the squad in the summer. Giving Steve Bruce an improved contract must be high on the agenda, too.

Hi Peter, can't see us going down, far two strong (baring lots of serious injuries), more chance of making Wembley twice?

I said all along Sunderland, Newcastle and Palace.

Wrong on Newcastle clearly as for the other two, Sunderland probably (despite Poyet being ok the team are to weak), Palace under Pulis far stronger.

Realistically, Cardiff and Fulham to follow Black Cats as both are (in my opinio) by far the weakest teams in the division.

The bookies have now made Cardiff favourites for the drop after yesterday, even more likely than Fulham (both strong odds on).

Whilst we're in a very good position, we can't be complacent and assume we are safe.

All the teams at the bottom still have numerous fixtures to play against each other and the table can soon change after another
    3-4 games.

It's looking good for us but I'm not getting carried away yet.......
