An alarm sounded during Moyes briefing earlier. Someone quipped: "Yours times's up." Moyes shot back: "A few of you have already said that!"
Not only that he awarded Nancy a new contract and gave Rooney 300,000 a week ****ing barrel of laughs this bloke is
Gotta admit I can't see how Rooney's position in the team warrants 300k a week. Look how they have fallen without RvP in the team.
In a footballing sense I agree with you, and have said this before, but Rooney even though he's an ugly **** is surprisingly very marketable, so it may not be as bad a financial deal for Man Utd as it appears. After all how much might the club have lost out on in shirt sales and advertising had Rooney been sold? I'm not saying Rooney is in the same class as Beckham in that department, as Beckham had the looks to go with the footballing skills, but I know it cost Man Utd a fortune in the long run letting Beckham go to Real Madrid, so sometimes it's not always as simple as judging players wages based on the actual football side of things
That's taking it abit to far, there is no doubting Beckham was a world class player in his prime, his long passing, and set piece taking was as good as any English player past or present. Yes he had some faults, but you can't deny how good he was, after all he wasn't voted the 2nd best player in the world in 99 for his looks
Ten years, numerous titles, numerous goals, numerous finals, numerous wins. We pay Rooney too much but hes won everything with us, been a major part of it all and continues to be so. You guys pay suarez 200k for an unproven, unsuccessful player whos yet to even score against one of the bigger sides this season and has a very poor record against good teams. Yes suarez is at the start of his career but you lot will be paying him 200k before hes proved a thing.... Imagine what his next wage will be, if of course you can keep him... You guys having no money after all...
How can you recoup money you have not spent, examine your logic, you already made that profit and now have signed a contract that will dispose of 85m of it, Rooney will not generate 85m for UNited in the rest of that contract. Hence loss. You really need to get a grip
You're thinking purely in monetary terms. You're still wrong even then. Once you think in football terms you will realise. Anyway, can you justify why the far poorer liverpool see fit to pay a far less proven player 200k a week? Sounds like you guys panicked a little when offering such a ridiculous contract for someone so unproven at the top level amd against the best sides, more so when you cant actually afford to buy anyone. Big risk isnt it.
Funny as **** that, the guy would be better suited to doing stand-up in the clubs than managing a top football team.
