Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto'o is being linked with a transfer to Arsenal, according to the Guardian.

The ex-Barcelona star has suggested he is interested in a move to the Premier League, and Arsenal are thought to be at the front of the queue to sign him.

The Cameroon international still has three years remaining on his contract, but has gone back on a previous commitment to stay at the San Siro to say he is now weighing up a possible move.

He told Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport: "I am currently considering my options. I have one month to decide as to whether I want to stay put or choose to move to the Premier League.

"I am now 30 years old and it is very important for me to think about my future before I sign what could be my last contract.

"I have already shown that I have what it takes to play in Italy and I now have the idea of proving myself in England."

The former Barcelona forward had been linked with moves to Chelsea and Arsenal earlier in his career.

Because Eto'o is much better than those three combined. If he can adapt to the PL well, he's a comfortable 15-20 goals a season striker.

The guy is quality, and has shown he can bust up the likes of Vidic which none of the current Arsenal crop can do. He is direct and powerful and with bags of skill.

It's not exactly a wum comment though is it? Only a wum would think that <ok>

He was asking why we should bring in another striker? Unless Vela, Chamakh or Bendtner leave. Personally I think Bendtner and Vela will go. If we could get Eto'o for around £10-£15m then I think it could be a good deal. He is a world class player and has 2-3 great seasons in him still.

If there is any truth in this deal, then I'm right behind it.

He's 30 but doesnt look to have lost any pace. Besides we need winners and we need experience.
The more I think about it the more it seems Eto'o would be a truely excellent signing for us.

I'm with you on this one, Eto'o has won top honours and I think he is just what we and RVP need at the moment <ok>

What the hell? This Eto'o we are talking about. Not some striker that can't even get into the West Brom starting XI.

3 problems. The likes of Subotic, Eto'o and Cahill have not signed and we all know that Wenger has been stubborn to spend big. Nasri and Cesc could still leave. Finally its not just about 11 players winning the title, its about your squad standing up to the entire season. Injuries to key players see you relying on the likes of Eboue, Squillaci, Djourou etc and I'm afraid these guys aren't up to the task.

so so true...you find you have to burst alot of delusional..fairyland fans bubble because they must not be thinking realistic..hence why many fans get and feel so disappointment when their expectations are'nt met... yes subotic has Committed to his club..goin nowhere...cahill wenger really spending more than 15mill - in your dreams...and Eto'o ..if wenger still sticks to his no signing of 30+ players..what are we even talking about eto'o being linked for

wake up and smell the coffee..we probly won't sign any1...or any1 we would want - regardless of wenger n ivan coming out n saying it's gonna be busy...wenger has a readymade excuse of (as he always says) "if the right player is around we will try - "right player" - being according to wenger and "will try" means NOT very much money being offered, as usual!

To be honest so long as Wenger can hold onto Nasri and Cesc and add maybe 2-3 players, Arsenal should be right up their challenging for the title. The 2 young keepers are promising and probably don't need replacing. You do need a quality CB and get rid of players like Squillaci & Djourou. Also tell the like of Denílson, Bendtner, and Chamakh its time to leave. The Arsenal would get a tidy sum for all these players which could be used to buy a CM and striker to assist RVP etc.

The Arsenal squad has good players but probably needs only some minor additions etc.
