Dodgy penalty win....the mancs will be flooding back on here telling us how they have turned the corner and CL is theirs now!
Without doubt the biggest set of divers in the league....still desperate times and all that

Less of a penalty than the one we were denied, of course...

Good to see refereeing consistency <ok>

And that's the massive flaw with teams like Palace and Everton going for 0-0, one mistake and the whole game is ****ed

    Still, considerable silver linings:

    Chelsea didn't look sharp
    City didn't look sharp
    Everton is now out

    Bronze lining (subjective)

    Bale, what a corker!

Actually , they are second only to the chavs. By far the biggest diving team in Europe.

Ramirez v Derby, exactly the same as his dive today v Everton, tries to make contact with a defender as he passes and goes down.

No recriminations though, no back page headlines, no opposition managers pointing fingers...wonder why that is?

Absolutely **** day of footy. No good results. No good play (maybe in the Arsenal game but didn't see it).

Yes it does. If we win, and so do everyone else we end up fourth. I still hope for higher than that.

Palace- what's the point?. They only started playing when they were 2-0 down. Then they actually looked like a football team.
Why don't teams (us included) realise that the way to win games is to take them to the opposition? If we start slowly tomorrow I'll be tearing my wig off because that's the way to drop points in a game that we really should walk.

Yeah, hard to find anything to smile about there, having the full Irish for me tea to make up fer it. Substituting Guinness for the Barry's Tea.

Good news from today is that Everton are now officially out of the race for 4th.

I watched Man United playing Barcelona whilst at the gym. Thought Barcelona looked the slightly better team but once United got penalty it was game over: Barcelona collapsed. No discredit being outclassed in Spain against barca for 60 mins though... especially beating them.

When did Pulis take over Barcelona though?

More seriously... that was a really dire game. Looked like two league 1 teams playing each other. If we can't get 3 points from both those fixtures we probably don't deserve 4th.

Arms and chest today on the circuit machines... I'm not a Mega weight lifter or anything... just staying healthy .. Then an hour on the treadmill.

Yes... all the treadmills, elliptical and stairclimbers have built in TVs with cable. My last gym was the same too.

Bloody hell, palatial. Sounds similar to me, did 45 mins on a bike (not as good as the real thing but don't have time to go cycling and then go in gym) then free weights and some ab stuff, crunches and so forth. I just want to stay lean/get leaner. There was some muscle head posing in there today with his tub of creatine powder. I just listen to music to drown out the awful awful stuff they pump out over the stereo in there.
