God I hate it after a defeat all these people suddenly come out with all this about 'should have strengthened in january' etc. We had wanyama out today, and lovren/gaston only just returning to give us added strength. This was our first league defeat in a while, and we were unlucky not to get something out of the match. Fans like that forgot we spent big in the summer and mid january our chairman left and record signing nutted fonte, what needs strengthening will do in the summer. As for Lambert I have to agree, its a shame with the world cup around the corner but he seems to have lost a huge part of his game. Something tells me he'll still be on the plane, after all his poor performances this season he has still been scoring, and infront of Roy.
oh man... I know what you do for a living and I am now sooooooooooooooooooo envious. I believe she comes to Northamptonshire to get her boots made. *camps out at factory*
Not sure why Lambert is getting all the stick. He did almost score off the header. Rodriguez wasn't any better than Lambert today. Either way, we need a striker in the offseason. And a CB. Which I guess we've all known for some time.
and as I said in an earlier post, you are just playing with words now rather than saying, "fair enough lads" It is like you are trying desperately to prove a point - it is just words and "match fit" is a very well used expression in any sport; most people get that, you don't. That's fine. You can leave it.
Kyle is one woman who gets better as she gets older....beautiful .... I can type this freely as the wife is still away until next Friday.
Sorry, that was a bit of a 'humblebrag' but I couldn't resist. She's a sweetheart. Not seen her in ages but when I was at Parlophone she was one of the very few artists that would *always* take time out to ask how you were and have a proper chat, and it was genuine too. Nothing but good things to say about her. One of the world's good people.
LTL, you've cheered up my day... not only is she gorgeous but she is a lovely person too. er, do you need a new best friend?
nah, I don't want to fight ... you go ahead.. , , , , I'll just be taking my new best friend, Le Tissier's Laces, out for a drink
"Southampton had so much of the ball but Adrian had so little to do with Saints putting so many of their opportunities off target. They had more than enough chances to score but the problem is they didn't take any of them." from the BBC MOTD commentator. Sound about right?
lol. Actually my other half says that if I am ever unfaithful, she'll overlook it if it's Kylie. Knowing my luck I'll end up drunk somewhere and get off with Kylie from Coronation Street....though at my age that wouldn't be too bad! To go back on topic, bit annoyed by today's result, but I suppose the team that needed it most won. More fun when we beat them next year! Good to hear RamÃrez looked lively when he came on, and Louvren must be close to fitness. WHU may be our bogey team, but we according to my scouse mate, we are Liverpool's. So here's hoping for next week ....draw a blue line and move on and all that...God I miss Adkins at times like today!!! No 7
Yeah, not too far off. We were dominant for large stretches but couldn't find a way to score. Sometimes we took speculative shots too early, sometimes we foolishly played no-chance balls into the box, sometimes we just passed and passed without attacking. When Ramirez got in the game, it was much better but by then it was already too late. And we were too easily beaten on defense. One goal should have been offside. But the second came off a set piece, and we didn't defend set pieces well at all today. The third came when Cole beat two defenders to a header, which shouldn't have happened. The defense looked shaky just about all game whenever tested, it's just that most of the time we had the ball.
Finally on the way home now, bit disappointing but never mind. Some good passages but not a lot of great defending, still next year we might beat them.
rickie had scored or assisted in 4 of the 6 goals we had scored in February before this weekend so.....
I can't stand BFS but today I was really impressed with Wet Spam. After they went behind they really responded well with a class finish from Jarvis (a class player btw). Yes maybe just offside but aren't officials told to give the attacking side the benefit of any doubt. Their third was pretty impressive too. The goal I had problems with was their second which Yoshida should have cleared. Not his best game but at least he scored. Positives for me? Well like others I think we lack a bit of magic in the final third. Gaston may just be the missing link. Did not expect him to have such a good game just coming back from injury and if he keeps that up he will not only do well himself but will give rickie and jay more space to work with. The other positive is finishing the game with FIVE academy players on the pitch. Wow. Just wow!
