Technically he's a car crash. Not good enough to play this style, never has been and never will be. There's players on every level who put effort in. Just my opinion like, one I've always maintained since our first season back in the top flight.
There's been alot worse than Bardsley today mind. Bridcutt looks nowhere near. Cattermole would be getting slated on here if he'd played like that in a First half! We look totally clueless. On our two centre backs today, they each made one tackle today and both failed! O'Shea made two interceptions and Vergini made just one. for what it's worth they made two clearances each. How does this translate? They walked right though us.
is that morph? listen for a minute, i'm not for one minute saying that the performance or lack of it was acceptable today but what is acceptable to me is the players having one eye on wembley. Its a dream, we only have wes and Jos who have experienced the likes, the subs suggested that Gus had thrown in the towel and why wouldnt he? We can sit here all day and pull that performance apart but at the end of the day, we didnt expect anything from it or city away or the dippers away. As it stands the table is looking ok and we have a chance of silverware next sunday. I cant blame the players for trying to wrap themselves in cotton wool, this may be the only chance they get of fulfilling that childhood dream of stepping out at wembley. Oh I get it. Doesn't mean it's acceptable. Look at it like this fella. Gus threw the gauntlet down to our squad players to win a place in the cup final starting line up and they gave their everything. Then these lot turn up and don't give a ****.
