Yeah, acid was the wrong word- those chemicals are alkali But it's a matter of degree rather than kind. Both acids and alkali are easily digestible in weakened forms ( the gastric juices in your stomach are a hydrochloric acid solution) and only become dangerous when concentrated. That fishy stuff seems disgusting whichever way you look at it, tbh. Do you get a programme (correct spelling) called QI in the States? who rooney or moyes.... I'm sure there plenty of mercs who'd take 100k per week so he could get 3 hacks for that. rooney on 300k per wek could spend it all on beer, pizza and hookers but i think he'll just burn most of it in his fireplace.
I suppose you missed the word "seriously" at the beginning of my question. This is my point. Quite apart from the question of whether or not a footballer deserves to have such riches, what can he actually do with it? His genuine use of it will probably be only marginally less inane than your suggestions.
He could actually do a lot of good with it such as help suffering Africans or even sufferers in this country, maybe help the homeless etc, but he won't.
they will, but sadly for a pr exercise, nothing more. i liked the concept of secret millionaire when that first came out, but the more i watched it i thought great giving money away to genuine people who deserve it, but then if you really cared why the need to be on a tv programme in the first place. maybe i am too cynical for my own good and there are genuine people out there lol. i watched one to be honest where the father and son was very very rich, and to be honest you would think snoby batards, but they was genuinely touched by the people they came into contact with and still contribute today and stay in touch. be nice to think there is a few more of these people in the world. all these people who do have money they have more than they will ever need, yet there are people who struggle to have the basic human rights of water and food. the worlds one ****ed up place, and we want to go into space? ****s!
Telly exists to feed itself. The argument that things like Pop Idol give an opportunity to those who wouldn't otherwise have it or Dragon's Den an opportunity to inventors or entrepreneurs is just self-justification. Those programmes exist to generate money for the programme- makers, no more. The genuinely talented people could be given, or take, their opportunities without all the TV bollocks lining the pockets of Simon Cowell et al.

basically they come up with another reason why they are filming. cant remember the reasons but things like filming care in the community,filming people who do volunteer work etc.
