How many "plastics" do we actually have left..? They're a good barometer to show things are going well, as they are at all clubs... That being the case the amount of plastics associated with the club right now must be zero...
Notice how 2 posters in particular on this forum always use insults to back up their views on here? Most of us that disagree with each other explain why and give examples etc, and have pretty in depth and interesting discussions on things. Then 2 certain posters, who just so happen to both have the same views on a certain subject, always respond with insults every time they are challenged with a counter point or a question. Funny how i can see it, and so can several other posters if my inbox is to be believed, yet it still goes on. This forum has gone very, very downhill

I actually never insulted anyone, i just kept within the spirit of the response from the other 'sand in his knickers' poster. But you are the sort that like to outraged, rather than educated...

The reason it is the same posters who respond is because it is the rest of the forum. Some people do not pull you up on it because frankly, they could do without the drama and instead just stop posting almost entirely. I did that for a while, but why should decent posters feel they need to leave because you and Vol have to resort to behaving like children when people disagree with you? As an educated lad who can manage just fine by using logic and the blindingly obvious to debate most of the todge i see from Vol and sometimes yourself, i find it amusing that the 2 people who seem to think rather highly of themselves cannot simply use normal, non childish methods to back up their claims. Anything else i can help you with, or have i given you enough reason to call me names in your next post?

I'd disagree that the forum is going down hill, Jimmy, and sorry you feel that way. I'm a member of several non Charlton related sites (some of which I'm a mod, some I'm not) and I don't see there being a difference from what goes on here to what goes on there. Insults are where I draw the line, but despite the word 'spam' being mentioned, I don't see any member creating post after post without reply - which is what I deem spam. There are some very colorful styles from posters, but if thats the manner in which they want to get their point across then it's not for me to tell them/anyone otherwise. I like the diversity of it. All I ask is that we refrain from using insults, which is only when I will ask for people to stay on topic. The forum would be in a worse state if I started deleting comments for pushing boundaries or constantly having to call people out. We're all adults - we chose to respond to a point if we wish, likewise we can chose not to. By large I've skipped several of the recent debates, because as Oz points out - it's all a bit stale at the moment. I've said my bits in the past and nothing has changed for me since. There are enough topics to discuss without anyone having to go toe to toe with anyone who annoys them.

I have this theory that everybody lies on line. I do. I am not a heart surgeon. We have a lot of plastics that by day are mild mannered, smelly accountants but give them a computer and a West Stand and they become Bob Crowe. For some people like Vol it is an opportunity to vent his spleen and having heard of him and his CAFC politics for nearly 20 years, he has my utmost respect, given that he always sails the same caustic amusing ship. So many other posters do have my respect, irrespective of their puddle jumping views. however, we have a real annoying group of fans that think they are above the golden rules of the football male. Take the piss out of others before they do it to you. Take your football seriously and results do matter, never glory boy worship, a cult player is a cult player but remember its a two letter departure to what he really is, The board are never your friends and never sell your Charlton merchandise on line. Never join a trust or ask for an autograph. Any one that does not follow those traditions is a plastic.
