The only way the loan is going to be repaid in full is if Assem Allam and his family own Hull City for years and years and turn it into a self-sufficient company making sufficient profits to be able to pay back the loan. If he sold the club within the next 5 years the loan from Allamhouse will be part of the sale negotiation. A potential owner when looking at the books will ask him how much of Allamhouse's loan will be written off. The new owner will start off with next to no debt and wouldn't owe Allamhouse or the Allam family a penny. When Assem Allam bought the club Russell Bartlett owed the club or the SMC money. Assem Allam agreed to extinguish the debt. It's how business works. Its also why he is looking forward to life as Hull City's chairman post 9 April and finally looking at ways of increasing the clubs income. Yes Happy Tiger, more profit from pies and beer, as well as other sources. Remember, in our most successful season ever, when we gained automatic promotion to the Premier League, our income went up by £35,000 whilst the value of our stock for resale fell by over £200,000.
The headline said ""COULD NOT WOULD"" rise by 50%. Yet again the HDM under that clown Mark Fewings stirring the pot for no reason. Even if tickets do go up by 50% then i shall still be paying more than most for my share of a corporate box.
I'd rathet he just ****ed off tbh. It's way beyond the time for hoping he'll see sense. This isn't just about a name change it's about him being a dick and unfit to run a football club. If he forgets about the name change it'll be something else in 6 months. He needs to go.
Didn't Allam say he was changing the badge for next season? Or was that another thing he's gone back on?
What corporate box tickles?? Thought you were two rows behind olm busily watching him and his lad while throwing chicken bones at them??
Depends who the next man would be. I don't want Allam out but a lot of what's gone on over the last year or so will take a long time to repair, regardless of what happens over the name change, so if someone with similar ambitions but the sense to keep us solvent was interested in taking over I'd welcome t as it would just be easier for all concerned.
If the name shortening goes ahead then the writing on the badge will obviously alter to match, but to my recollection he's consistently said he would never do anything to the badge or team colours without the supporters blessing. I don't think he's ever suggested changing the base to be honest, I think the only time he's mentioned it is when quizzed in interviews.
Thanks for agreeing with my point Stanners. My stance has 100% always been that a name change doesn't change history, or destroy something. Aggro on the other hand believes it does. Therefore, he can't think he exists any longer, and most likely hopes his past history is also gone. It isn't of course. Anyone with half an ounce of sense would know that. So at least we agree that changing a name doesn't change what the thing is. Excellent.
It does change what it is. If I changed my name to Voldemort it would be embarrassing for my family and friends, just as it would be for us to support a club with a tacky americanism for its name.
http://www.sportingintelligence.com...rd-166m-into-top-flight-bank-accounts-200801/ Unless we are getting a deal similar to the top 5 on the sole basis of a tacky name that will alienate the brand from many parts of the football supporting UK market I can't see how Allam is going to make so much money from one sponsorship.
Yep, we'll be a national laughing stock to the extent that companies will think twice about associating themselves with us. On another note, Cardiff's figure is stated as 500k. Didn't the recent Cardiff poster say this deal was worth circa 15m? If true would put them near the top of the pile.
One of the posters on the Cardiff board is claiming official shirt sales are the lower now than they've been for over a decade, and that's despite a large increase in attendances and coverage. On the plus side, they reckon the snide market in traditional shirts is booming.
I imagine it could be as it comes from one of Tan's "friends" at the Malaysian tourist board I believe
Now I've heard it all - the saviour to the club's fortune is a top notch catering manager who can make multi-millions for the club. Then we have OLM making a comment about how did Allam ever make any money - just wondering what your day job is OLM, is it as a multi-millionaire business man?
