Im not And to answer your other post all im saying is he's making enemies in the football world and could bite you in the ass down the line
Suarez is the perfect role model now! Hes now realised he cant kiss defenders, at least not on the pitch
Bollocks are you not biased and all I'm saying is he couldn't care less. He knows Pellegrini is a vulnerable manager who isn't used to being in title races and big games so is taking full advantage of that fact mentally. He also has the better of Wenger when it comes to the nitty gritty i.e. winning against him. His record is impeccable and they have never seen eye to eye anyway.
There are a couple of others as well. Drogs is almost always on the point, clear and reasonable. He does fire up at silly criticism and opinions that are not logical, which is to his credit I think. For what it's worth, most fans love Joses nonsense mainly because it gets other fans worked up, which can be pretty funny. Does it enhance the outsiders view of CFC ?? Probably not. My own view is that this time round Jose has lost some of his humour and is sounding a bit too snipey. He gets the same results without the agro when he's funny. The little horses stuff is priceless, personal attacks are not the smartest unless they are funny. Time to bring back the puppets, especially Wayne , Voyeur and now Moysey !!!!
The little horse stuff is funnier than the more direct approach. It certainly gets the Liverpool and Arsenal fans wound up. It doesn't seem to bother United fans so much
What most people fail to realise is that most of the Jose sound bites are because he is asked things in press conferences and he is prepared to give a response. The way some people go on is like Jose rings round all the papers or holds press conferences just to provide 'controversial' comments. Though here is an excert froma recent conversation Jose had with journalist Martin Samuel. Hey Mart Hey Jose Mart, was just thinking about horses and stuff again Yer? Go on Well was just thinking this was the worst Barcelona team in a while and Yaya should have got a ban. Ok And Wenger, he's a specialist in failure. Ok. Any opinions on Liverpool? Mmmm.....I'll ring you back. Hey Mart, me again. Hi Jose. Was just thinking about the Liverpool thing. They probably are favourites for the title now cos they have no European football. Are you just playing mind games Jose. Nope, but make sure you print this in tomorrow's paper. Cheers dude...
And as for Liverpool fans making comments on embarrassing managers, priceless. Well there has been no manager more embarrassing or done more to harm a clubs reputation in recent years than Kenny the clown over rat face gate. And before that was Rafa's meltdown....
Pantomime villains ? Little Horses ? All of this is a precursor to Maureen's future career as the arse end of a Pantomime horse
If I come back on this board I look forward to chatting with you you may not be an actual Chelsea pensioner but your name suggests you are more my age group [?]
60 is the new 40 !!! Can't speak for others but visitors are usually welcome. Unfortunately too many on home boards including ours, see a different point of view as an attack, and leap into defence mode. Banter and humour are never a problem, On the other hand there are dopes who come on full of vitriol and aggression. They get pretty short shrift. We have a pretty good bunch here and mixed ages which makes it twice as interesting.
In two minds about Jose. He's a character, and certainly 'cool' as anything under pressure. He used to be funny. Now... he's getting boring. It'll become a little embarrassing for you if he keeps going. But, contrarily, that's his purpose isn't it? Creating the 'us against them' vibe. EDIT: Pretty much agree with CP actually. EDIT II: And by CP I mean Chelsea Pensioner. I'm not saying I agree with anything else with the acronym 'CP'
I don't mind Jose, tbh. He knows what he's doing. He's a top top manager, as Fergie would say (or not), and is the king of the psychological warfare. Our Brendan knows him well so it's not as likely to work on him, but other managers are biting like crazy. Fair play to him, I say. It's like what Fergie did. Deflect the onus from his team and onto other teams and managers so his squad can just focus on games. When it comes to this sort of stuff, I just watch and chuckle.
