It could well take Allen a while to get signed. I know Vikings were pretty desperately trying to trade him this year but nobody would even give up a fifth for him, I don't think anyone's prepared to pay him what he wants.

I can understand half way through the season that he wouldn't want to give up whatever ridiculous sum of money he was going to earn from the Vikes, but can see him taking a smaller contract in FA if a genuine contender attempts to sign him. Now I've said that he will go to the Raiders for about 100 mil a year
The combine is most of the players entering the draft meeting up in Indy for a bunch of workouts to test how athletic they are - weight lifting, vertical/broad jumps, shuttle drills etc, even some catching and throwing drills for receivers, DBs and QBs, headlined by the 40 yard dash. It's good fun but people put way too much stock into it. Mini-camps/OTAs are just mini-training camps and training sessions for teams before the proper training camp starts.
There's a radio host saying Peyton is leaning towards retirement. Doesn't mean much, but he said he'd miss the whole of 2011 before the season, and that he would join Broncos before anybody else did...
If he is going to, he should let the Broncos know asap, so they can plan. I hope he plays on though. I can't wait to see the new Bucs logo, or maybe it's an old one? I like the middle right one. Btw, Meowth, did you go to the Buccs game when they played at Wembley a few years back? Can't recall the Buccs being televised once last season (admittedly I did miss the first 3 weeks). Hopefully get to see them next season.
The Wonderlic is an intelligence test NFL hopefuls take at the combine - a quickfire, 12 minute 50 questions test. While it's obviously no guarantee of success, it can still be quite interesting when results eventually get released. If you've got a free 12 minutes, give it a go. Especially Cove.

Exactly, it's supposed to test the speed and reasoning of your mental ability. Obviously it'd be quicker to use a calculator too.
The Vikings won’t force a QB at No. 8. I'm not sure what that means, but it sounds significant.
It means they won't be forced into taking a QB at 8 if they don't feel one's worth it. Basically means if Teddy, JFF and Bortles are all gone by #8 (or if one drops and they don't like him) then they won't take him just because they need a QB.
