We all know the media spin things dotty, what WE also know is that you're wrong again. Mr Allam, in his own unspun words said that he would walk away if the FA rejected his proposal.

Oh, and the statement's on here at least twice where CTWD say pretty much exactly what those reports are saying.

The same Detroit that was really pleased to be selected as the filming location for one of the Bladerunner films and was bragging about it, and then when one of the producers of the film was asked why they'd chosen Detroit were really dismayed to hear the response "Of all the places we looked, it looked the most like how we pictured a post apocalyptic LA".

    But back on subject.

We currently sell out the home areas of the ground in the day or two before the game, or we're left with a few tickets left over*. The tickets are therefore priced at pretty much the optimum level to maximise income. If they were cheaper we wouldn't sell any more (because we can't). The general rule is that from the current position, if you double the price of something, you lose more than half your sales, and therefore lose revenue overall. If they were increased 50% there would be too many people who couldn't afford them, that's why they haven't been increased by more in the past**, and why they've only said they'd have to consider it.

As for the sponsors being agreed subject to the name change, it doesn't fit with their previous statements. It does however make it less likely that Hull Tigers could attract sponsors than Hull City could. Nobody is going to want to attach their name to the idea that they forced the club to change its name when there's been this much publicity against it, there's too much potential for fans to just boycott products so the deals offered would have to be smaller than they'd offer the club with an unchanged name.

*The being lower than capacity is more down to away allocations not selling out and/or segregation.
**2002/03 season my seat was £270 (at adult prices, that's not what I was paying at the time), last summer it was £390. It might look a big increase, but it's only 3.4% a year, which considering we're 3 levels higher than we were then isn't bad at all. Even if you want to take out the fact we get 4 games less in PL by saying it would have been that price to be 2 levels higher had we not been promoted, it's still not bad.

Well done CTWD, you have succeeded where Allam failed. The cost of my season pass has a greater influence on my attendance than the name of the team. If you get your wish, and prices do rise, I will no longer be able to go support my local team.

We apologize for being passionate towards our clubs' heritage and history against a ridiculous ideal which would make us all a laughing stock for the game.

You might want to read what CTWD put out there every now and then before blindly spouting silly stuff like that.

Doesn't that bit mean that, as we've now said the name change would be down to sponsorship, if we were to qualify for Europe we wouldn't even be allowed to play under that name and would have to change it to just Hull? As City would no longer be part of the name I assume we wouldn't be allowed to revert to that either, but it would be more amusing if we could since the initial proposal was it would be Hull City locally and Hull Tigers elsewhere and it could end up having to be the other way round.

Don't worry, it won't happen as a result of not changing the name. It may happen as a result of "it was always going to happen", but the two things are completely independent. If increasing the ticket prices 50% would increase revenue then they'd do it either way. They wouldn't underprice tickets and deny Bruce £40k/wk to spend on the squad. That's another good player we could have. (calculations made earlier showed it would be just over £2M a year with no loss of sales)

CITY TILL WE DIE STATEMENT - 20th FEBRUARY 2014

City Till We Die has received a number of media requests regarding the views of Dr Assem Allam and Ehab Allam, as reported in today’s Hull Daily Mail. We are pleased that the Allam family are planning for their ongoing stewardship of Hull City AFC in the event that the FA rejects their name change application. We remain open to helping find viable solutions to make the club self-sufficient.

The decision on the name change proposal is now in the hands of the FA. We assume that the Club will have made details clear to the FA of any thus far undisclosed link between potential sponsorship deals and a change of playing name in their submission. CTWD has faith in the FA’s ongoing consultation and has undertaken not to comment on the investigation. We respect the FA process and await their decision.

City Till We Die encourages all fans to support our team loudly and positively on Saturday and on Monday. As throughout this campaign, we do not believe that protests against our owner have any place during the match.

CTWD will not be commenting further on the above statement.

A bunch of flat earthers have stopped our chairman exploring potential new income streams leaving him with few options, but to potentially raise prices (beyond my means) one of them.

Yep, 100% definitely the fault of CTWD, and not the owner for not trying to explore alternatives other than a ****ing stupid name change.

Nobody knows yet, unless you're privvy to some info?

Even when successful, what potential new income streams have they stopped the chairman from exploring?

So his lies are all CTWD's fault?

Is he going? Or is he putting the prices up?
