From the media today today they said they wouldnt decide until close to the time (i.e if HF was injured!!) but the vibe was apparently that Annie Power is World Hurdle bound.
This whole Annie Power thing is a complete charade... I mean just come out with it Willie for gods sake! World Hurdle will be her engagement as it will be her best chance of winning a race (according to them) unless Quevega or the Fly get injured. Dont like the owner of Annie Power who previously worked for Barclays and what with all their scandals etc... so hopefully she turns up in the world hurdle and gets beaten convincingly. If she was with any other stable she would be champion hurdle bound!
A stable that didn't already have a plethora of potential champions Captain! Annie seems to have generated a Marmite thing about herself - personally I like what I have seen, and put my money where it counts. World Hurdle is, and always was for me, the logical choice given Mullins other options. But you can't blame a horse for having obnoxious owners, and if/when she wins it will because of her ability, not because someone paid Big Bucks for her
I don't get why everyone is so obsessed with which race she is going for. If you wanted to back her now, a whole host of bookies are NRNB on the Champion hurdle and World hurdle, and regardless, the markets are pretty much settled now in the championship races until the day of the races. The trainer/owners have no obligation to select a preferred target until final declarations, so why would they?
Yes we've heard all these views before Beefy. A very odd video that by the way - 4 people in the studio and only 3 talking and one of the experts having a bet on the Tullow Tank! Doh! Anyhow, its all about opinions and I prefer the way Paul Nicholls conducts his affairs as he is clear about his plans for his horses. I prefer that approach personally and not the bumbling approach of the Mullins.
Every major bookie refunded/voided The Tullow Tank bets Pops. It's a bigger return than most will get from that race.
