That's true, we really miss a valid backup CF and hopefully he can play a valuable cameo at the last leg of our season.

Don't think any player deserves stick, we win and lose as a team, no point in singling out individual players for criticism. The key thing is we did not disgrace ourselves against a team (at least on paper) miles better than us.

I think Ozil does, in particular for that pen. Hate that ****ing style.

Watched the first 30 mins again, and we were really really good. Wenger set us out perfectly and we were pressing brilliantly, especially before the pen that we missed. Bayern have been not rattled like that this season in particular. Their CB's could not cope with our speed. Despite not feeling that down straight after the game, after watching that 30 mins again, I do keep thinking what would have happened if we scored that pen or if we kept 11 men, or if Gibbs managed to stay fit. But against a team like Bayern, you have to close to perfect in order to get a result, also need that bit of luck. Sadly lady luck was not our shoulder last night.

I guess that will do his confidence a whole world of good! He set out not to give his all and probably deliberately missesd the pen..... money grabbing so and so......

Eh? His pen was ****, and does deserve stick for that. No need to sugarcoat it.

Ok, let's put this penalty thing to bed now. Missing a penalty isn't abigo deal, it happens to literally everyone.

He was the one who won us the penalty with his own skill. No-one else wanted to take it, he is the only player who had the bollocks to step up and take it.

He takes penalties the same way as I have seen Pirlo, messi, Ronaldo, Arteta, van Persia and several other players take penalties. Not every time but often enough. If he is comfortable with that style then I have no problem with him taking pens like that. I'm more concerned that no-one else stepped up.

Also if you watch the penalty had nuer not been such a f**king freak of nature giant of a gk it would still have gone in despite not being the best penalty ever lol

Not my personal favourite style of penalty, but I. Think to get on his back for it is just stupid. Everyone misses the odd penalty.

Yeah, but he missed three in a row (2 for us, 1 for Germany), and all with the same style. Should have never ever taken it, his style clearly does not work.

Just think its stupid to slate a player for missing a pen. Even Chelsea fans and players had the class not to slate lukaku who basically did the same thing except much worse and it literally cost them the game. I get that he is younger but having a go for a missed penalty for me is just classless.

He stepped up when no-one else would. If your go aha ve a go at him make sure you don't forget the other 10 bottler so n they itch who didn't volunteer to take it despite knowing ozil has missedh is last couple of penalties.

I think the fact hei s confident to step up and take it after his recent misses when no-one else is. Stepping up shows a level of confidence that we miss at the club.

If ozil hadn't won us the penalty in the first place no-one would have been given the opportunity to moan.

More fool the cowards who didn't try to step up and take it instead then.

Bollocks. It's not about who steps up or not. Ozil was third in the list of pen takers for some reason after Arteta and Giroud, according to Wenger. Now after watching his pen against OM, Wenger should have changed that list. Even he admitted that he disliked that sort of style. So, it's absurd that Wenger allowed Ozil to take the pen. He missed two in a row before last night. Also it was against a keeper like Neur who knows Ozil too well. Cazorla has the best shot in our team and has way more precision when shooting, and he should always step up ahead of Ozil, always. Hopefully, Wenger has changed his ****ing list. Our best pen takers are. Arteta,Giroud,Podolski,Cazorla and then maybe Walcott.

So you don't have an issue with him missing then? You just wanted to point out that a penalty miss is a big moment in a football game?

Disagree. The rest of the team where melts and only he had the bollocks to go for it.

Wrong. Wenger had his silly list, so Ozil was meant to take it because Arteta and Giroud were not on the pitch, hence nobody else stepped up.

Also despite not personally liking the style of penalty he takes, it's no good for my heart, I don't think the whole "that style of penalty doesn't work" line is valid, having quickly watched ozil score several penalties with the exact same penalty on youtubei. Can assure you that style of penalty does work :p

Also there are loads of world class players who take or have taken penalties just like his :)
