So an entrepeneur saw an opportunity to give something back and make money and backed himself to do it. And look what happened....

He obviously has looked at all angles with this and he's backing himself again.

Changing the name of the club because of a sponsor is probably the last thing the FA want unless we are going to go down the road of changing names , colours etc. every time there is a change of sponsor

I don't believe it though , Mr Allam really doesn't have much credibility in terms of telling the truth

"If the FA does not allow the name-change, I will be gone in 24 hours!"

Oh,no, I'll stay, but put prices up, instead"

Extremely well thought out? No - because the turd thinks he will bully fans into rolling over for his idiocy.

I do not believe any of it. It is just another threat. As Tigers is our nickname and there is a tiger on the badge I would think that is quite sufficient for any sponsor without insisting the name is changed. He just insults our intelligence time and time again. The man is vile. From the moment he took over the club I have been suspicious about him. I could not afford to buy season passes with a 50% increase and even if I could I would not on principle. How stupid is he. Why isn't he trying to market the club more in the UK, in Hull and surrounding areas even. I am sure other clubs have better marketing why can't he do some investigation instead of petulantly throwing it back at the supporters telling them they have to find an alternative. Yeah some businessman he is. Utterly disgusting in every way.

First things first! Surely the first thing for the club to do is secure Premier League status - no one is going to pay £35 a game for championship football. I suspect the 50% figure is somewhat OTT although I do expect passes to go up by 20% - 25% for the following year as I was surprised that they weren't more expensive this season. Allam is not walking away but the price of keeping the name City is one we will all have to pay for - some of us will be happier to do so than others I suspect.

Gosh, and all this coming the day after the announcement of the date re the FA hearing about the name change!!!

    Amazing coincidence!

It's almost as if someone is trying to threaten people to obey their will by an 'or else' threat.

I don't believe there are offers on the table at all.

    What a sordid mess.

A sad day in the history of our club- reminiscent of David Lloyd's pique and ignorance.

Is it Esso, Tiger beer or Kellogg's Frosties I wonder?

When I go to Carrow Road I see lots and lots of coaches bringing yokels from all over Norfolk to see their home games. They have a big catchment area.

Not as big a catchment area as we do. We are the nearest league club to more people than anyone else. Population of East Riding is larger than that of Norfolk. We must be more affluent as most East Riding fans come by car or train.

The season pass increase was always going to be part of next seasons plans, unless we find ourselves relegated.
The concourse food consessions are just that consessions. It's only the executive style dining rooms that are part of the clubs finances.

The two big names, TigerAir/ Tigerairways.com and Tiger Beer, well more the former than the later would be interested in developing stronger links with the PL. Tiger beer already have linked themselves in the past with Barcelona. But TigerAir are very football orientated.
I cannot say for sure but if we do become linked with TigerAir, I think the broker for the deal, tried it a few years ago and got knocked back.

Personally I do not think there is a cat in hells chance of a big money sponsor, putting in enough to solve the clubs future problem of it financial shortfall.

We know we're not going to get a £100m, five-year deal like Man United. But not even being able to get bigger sponsors than **** pubs like The New Griffin is absurd. Even Conference teams don't have to scrape the bottom of the barrel like that.

The new sponsor is the Detroit Tigers. With the population of Detroit falling the team needs to find a new fan base and Hull is their choice.

I thought they were all killing each other these days, and the survivors attempting to flee for the civilised world?
