To be honest Id have done it the other way. Now if they are relegated any self respecting journo would say at the end of season presser "on 20th Feb you said this team would not be relegated, so youve done a worse job than expected. Should you therefore be sacked?" Whereas if he'd said "it'll take a miracle to keep us up but with exceptional effort, hard work and committment from every single player and member of staff we just might do it" and if they're relegated he can say "well, I didnt get what i wanted from some players. If Im given the opportunity next season I'll ensure these players are no longer here and everyone at the club will give 100% to us getting back to where we belong." He's made his bed now and cant complain if they fail and he's sacked.
If i was coming in to any team in the bottom 6, i think i'd fancy Fulham. Whether they're all shot i dont know. But Steklenburg, Hangeland, Heitinga, Sidwell, Parker Bent. Thats a ****ing good spine. On paper thats mid table but we dont play on paper.....
Fulham will not be going down now - here they are in training this morning. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHeXZWTWU3M
Point about that Magath. Has anyone seen Bayern Chairman Uli Hoeness speak about him? The man is heavily hated in German football for being too strict (IN GERMANY) and is a horrible man manager. Despite winning titles for both Bayern and Wolfsburg(?) the man is hated by players for over working them. A story about Wolfsburg striker Grafite emerges as proof when on a pre-season tour in Italy. Magath had given the players a day off after a hard day's work the previous day but changed his mind at 4am when he decided to wake them up and force them to go on a mountain work lasting 4 hours which was cut short after Grafite collapsed mid session. I have given a link about Hoeness' view. Magath wont keep this sinking ship up http://metro.co.uk/2014/02/16/bayer...x-magath-is-a-paranoid-control-freak-4306105/
darren bent and the like? fulham have no chance, when kaiser magathhhhhhhhhhh asks him to walk up snowdonia 5 hours before playing swansea away
. He sees ghosts and is convinced everyone is always talking about him. ‘This is why, at every club, he wants to become manager, director, coach, and even print the match day programmes.’
Ian 'Sloth' Dowie would have been better. Magath is too strict and I think it will go one way or another but after seeing how it faired Di Canio I can't see it working
