As the title mentions, does anyone have any superstitions when it comes to the gear they buy from the LFC store, sports store, etc? Can be anything but when times are hard or in need of something from beyond the grave, what do you reach to? Whenever we play in Europe ( been awhile) I used to wear my 05 Gerrard home top, always felt lucky with it. The other is the 96-98 range home top that the likes of Macca, Fowler, and early Owen used to dabble in ( Really big logo, thick ass red and white collar and strip on the sleeve). Unlucky top..... no doubt about it my long sleeve pin stripped adidas top from the 2010-2011 season I believe. ****ing love that top too but we never seem to win when I have it on! Anyway, over to you. It can be a programme from the 70's, a scarf, a signed Ian Rush ball, etc.
I do a naked lap around the garden on every home game, we've only lost when I've forgotten to take my socks off.
I had a lucky lfc tee shirt when i was young. wore it every game. faded completely. complete knock off of course but had to have it when young.
Used to seem like we always lost when I had my Liverpool shirt on, particularly the hone top so I usually make sure I'm not wearing any Liverpool items. I don't wear them that often any more anyway (mainly at football) so its not that difficult.
I have a pair of boxers that I wear to football.. I scored 2 goal in 2 weeks in them. Only problem is, massive hole in them which is getting wider... soon be a very very small skirt
No lucky gear. But... as I've pointed out several times this season: Almost every game I've watched (live) we've won this season. Almost every game I haven't been able to watch (live) we have dropped points.
I used to have a pair of lucky trainers for 5s I bodge taped them for years before they finally went playing with a bunch of locals in Bahrain I gave them a sea burial in whatever sea that is they all thought I was a bit nuts.
