I was just catching up with this thread and thought exactly the same as you. Some of Obis responses have made my spider senses twitch a few times in a "hmmm" kind of way. His response further down seems to confirm it too. Explains quite a lot then when you think about it. Mr Hat sums HCC up nicely. The Man C thing made me laugh, but it's ok, they've got another example instead now lol.
City population Hull 256,000 Norwich 140,000, urban population Hull 573,000 Norwich 213,000. Subtraction not your strong point? The population of East Yorkshire is more than that of Norfolk. The fact we have a couple of eggchasing teams is irrelevant. The fact is with the exception of a few seasons our crowds have always been poor for a city of our size.
My subtraction is fine you sanctimoneous ****. Did you not see my follow up message when I said the first figure that came up on my quick google search was misleading? And our crowds are much better per head of population than TWS for example.

I don't believe the Allam family have ever refuted one word of this statement, nor has TG ever withdrawn one word of his open and (it would seem) honest view of the meeting. This may be an interview that HCC would rather have drifted into obscurity, but it can't be ignored when taken into context of everything that followed. The intention of AA was never to make a gift to the people of Hull, it was simply to feather his own nest, just as it still is, he made a big error of judgment.
****ing hell Fez of course he wanted the freehold he's always stated that. what about TG's quotes the KC wasnt ever for sale or The Fair is never going to be moved. And FFS again the "gift" was saving the club and wanting to give premier league football. Of course he wants to make money, he's a businessman. Remember Adam Pearsons quote, what he did was unbelievable it literally made no sense, we were ****ed.
I was going to correct your grammar ("stop being a ****"), but then I realised you were talking about the HDM!
But you are right in that what he did made no sense, especially as he is a businessman who wants to make money, so why did he do it unless he saw it as a long term vehicle for making money? If the club progresses and he makes money, fine, no problem from me, but I don't think he bought it when he did and in the manner he did just to please Hull City fans.
Of course not but i do think it went hand in hand, wanting to give something back to his adopted City while pursuing a brilliant/deluded dream to get City in the premier league and make some money out of it. Where are all the other entrepeneurs in Hull who could have done it. We've been waiting 30/40 years for them. Adam Pearson never found them and he definitely looked.
There is Tiger balm. Lots of athletes use it. Good for muscle strains/aches etc. I have a tub of it in my cupboard. Chinese connections with it I believe.
Agree about the lack of entrepeneurs and I am genuinely grateful to AA for rescuing the club, I'm just not as sure that he wanted to make a gift. That suggests he wants nothing in return when he quite clearly does, and as stated earlier I have nothing aganst that. I'm just suggesting that the way he bought the club, making no sense at all, was done in a way that as a businessman he thought was the best way of seeing a personal return.
There is red tiger balm and white tiger balm. Cue red and white kit? http://www.tigerbalm.com/uk Owned by HawPar corporation. Chinese? It's bloody good stuff mind.
Exactly,it's his dream to be in the premier league but the club is losing money hand over fist now.By his own admission the the wages have increased by £30 million a year.Surely a man with his business skills would have already factored in the costs of promotion before spending money the club didn't have to achieve his goal. when Assem took over the club I'm sure he said something about running the club as a proper business, within its means and it should never be in the situation he had found it in.A few years later and he's making Duffen and Bartlett look relatively frugal by comparison.I only hope there are better relegation clauses in the contracts this time around.
