http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26274049?print=true Davis thinks there is still more to come from him and the team. Lets hope he is right!
Pochettino defends team selection from last week. Says they were more than capable, but had an off day possibly due to mental and physical fatigue from 3 games in one week.
Thanks DTLW - I don`t think losing him is a problem for them, despite Carroll being out too, and Maiga at QPR.
Pochettino also says Mark Clattenburg is the worst referee he has ever seen, and is "disgusted" that he is in charge at the weekend. Haha thanks Tom. I knew you would grab at the bait...
Don't know if they were ruffled by Blackmore beforehand or if the indignant air was exaggerated by Salas' interpretation, but I wasn't that impressed by the tone of that interview. If you're going to invite difficult questions by capitulating to a weaker team's reserves in a cup competition, you're going to have to answer them.
I think you should be asking what is right with him! He is on the February Calendar page, a lot of players who appear on the Calendar seem to experience misfortune in the month that they feature, just coincidence of course, but good for some banter, or is it?
For what it's worth, Mauricio said he is pleased to see Clattenburg appointed to our game. Hasn't had a chance to speak to him yet and clear the air. Will do so on Saturday. All parties made mistakes and best we all move on.
So pleased to see confirmation of returns for BOTH! It only seems a little while since they were both injured and we have coped pretty well without them (bar Sunderland). When I first watched the slow motion replay of Gaston's ankle injury I honestly thought he would be out for months if not the rest of the season. His ankle went so far over that the outside of his boot was touching the turf!
If Gaston keeps up his form prior to injury, I don't think it'll come within the first few games back as he'll be a bit rusty.
