That would be good alongside Burchill,D Baker,Whispering Bob Harris and Jules Holland,I'd pay money to see that!
Does he? Saw he had a show but never got round to watching it. Might have to now although i doubt any of the panel will be as forthright in their views as I'd like them to be..
Viv Albertine was on it a couple of weeks ago hence the Wid Ye? thread I posted about her. Ah wid byraway.
I could do that ok. Slagging off every so called talented musicians and shiity so called ground breaking muzak. Starting with The Beatles - the original manufactured boy band - bland and ****in insipid.
I share his opinion. Populist pap for people who would have liked to tell their elders to **** off but couldn't quite get the courage to do so. Then they discovered drugs and got really bloody tedious. In my opinion of course.
They were popular because a lot of people liked them. That's only considered a bad thing if you like listening to student bedsit music in the dark.
So you wouldn't consider X factor, Stock Aitken and waterman, the proliferation of manufactured boy and girl bands over the last 20 years etc etc. a bad thing then?
Good point, well made. You win. Pete Waterman was a top Northern soul DJ before he started peddling all that horrible **** btw. Not sure what relevance that has to anything.
The UK Beatles were a direct copy of a German band of a similar name. The Volkswagen Beatles are still popular with purists.
