The GB dont want poppies on Celtic shirts...they didn't ask for those wearing poppies to be arrested...even though they feel offended by them...eventually the club stopped putting them on shirts....if enough of the Offended Brigade make similar protests to Celtic maybe they'll ban the GB for good

No need for arrests

Celtic are a British club with Irish roots. Doesn't matter how much that disagrees with your warped view on this issue, it's a ****ing fact.

If we're the Offended Brigade then the Green Brigade members are the Permanently O'Fended Brigade.

You're a complete waste of time, but just to clarify: It's people like you that are ruining Celtic for NORMAL fans who are there to enjoy the football and support their team, rather than be there to play the victim and protest. Well done and I hope you die <applause>

The entire content is offensive to some ... the message is offensive to some.

It honours men who were members of "terrorist" orginsations.

It's just a fact, you don't need to be offensive

The GB are more harassed than offended

They words aren't in the version I heard

So what you're saying is people have to ignore the words, link it to something they dislike, use their imagination and hey presto...

Is it about the hunger strikers = Yes

Does it honour them = Yes

Where the members of IRA/INLA = Yes

Are IRA/INLA terrorist groups = Yes

Will some people find a song honouring them offensive = Yes

It even mentions the "terrorists" by name!

Joseph (Joe) McDonnell (14 September 1951 – 8 July 1981) was a volunteer in the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA),
Terrorist

Edward Martin Hurson (13 September 1956 – 13 July 1981) was an Irish republican hunger striker and a volunteer in the East Tyrone Brigade of the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA).
Terrorist

Kevin Lynch (25 May 1956 - 1 August 1981) was an Irish republican hunger striker and member of the Irish National Liberation Army (INLA)
Terrorist

Thomas McElwee (30 November 1957 - 8 August 1981) was an Irish republican hunger striker and a volunteer in the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA)
Terrorist

Michael James "Mickey" Devine (26 May, 1954–20 August, 1981) was a founding member of the Irish National Liberation Army (INLA).
Terrorist

Raymond Peter "Ray" McCreesh (25 February 1957 – 21 May 1981) was a volunteer in the South Armagh Brigade of the Provisional Irish Republican Army
Terrorist

Robert Gerard "Bobby" Sands (Irish: Roibeárd Gearóid Ó Seachnasaigh; 9 March 1954 – 5 May 1981) was a member of the Provisional Irish Republican Army
Terrorist

Kieran Doherty (16 October 1955 – 2 August 1981) was an Irish republican hunger striker, Teachta Dála (TD) and a volunteer in the Belfast Brigade of the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA).
Terrorist

Francis Hughes (28 February 1956 – 12 May 1981) was a volunteer in the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA).

Every man named = a member of a terrorist orginastion.
So... it honours these men by name. And yet people are not to be offended by a song honouring them!

There's a few names there Pud - i don't know about anyone else but i think it would be really good if you could make 7 or 8 seperate posts containing just one or two of the names in each as it would make it easier for us to read.

It doesn't honour their past deeds

Only their peaceful protest

And you had to go looking for info to be offended...much like I said
