Paul Konchesky is suspended so either Jeff Schlupp or Ignasi Miquel will cover left back. Sean St. Ledger is still out but other then that there are no new injuries. So here is what I would go with Schmeichel De Laet Morgan Wasilewski Schlupp Knockaert James Drinkwater Dyer Nugent Vardy Subs- Logan, Moore, Hammond, King, Mahrez, Phillips, Wood
I don't really think it matters who you have on the pitch - you might as well go with 10 of your youth team and Nugent up front, you'll still spank us.
I'm glad we've got you lot coming up because Nugent hasn't been able to hit a barn door with a full philharmonic orchestra (nevermind a fookin' banjo) in the last two games ...
Last season he didn't even need to shoot to score against us.. He managed 2 goals having had only 1 shot (which was a bloody penalty) the other one our keeper decided to punch the ball into his chest and then watch it go back past him into the net. All this while Nugent was injured and only lasted for about 15 minutes... If there is a way for him to score. We will find it and make it happen
You're going to bloody win now aren't you? A Nugent own goal...I can see it now. Just seen the Ipswich lads predictions in their board. So funny - all of them predicting a Nugent goal. He really has got to them hasn't he?
He's not got a bad record against Ipswich to be fair, I'd rather he doesn't start scoring for them! He's certainly not Mick's favorite player When informed of Nugent’s incredible record, McCarthy quipped: “I’m ******* delighted for him!” Then, after a long pause, added: “Let’s hope they get promoted so he can p*** off out of my sight! That would be great that". It would Mick, it would. Hand over those points.
So McGoldrick, Ipswich's best player, gets a season ender a week before facing you guys... please log in to view this image
Season ender sort of implies that the next 14 teams Ipswich face will have the same luck on their side.
To be honest I don't think any of us expected anything from this match. Good luck in the Prem next season!
