Norwich season ticket prices are from £519 cheapest to over £700 at the moment. Yet they get bigger crowds than us from a smaller population. Maybe Norwich is more of a football city than Hull. They certainly have fans who ate more vocal, which isn't difficult, and who aren't streaming out with 10 minutes to go no matter what the score is so they won't be late for tea.
The SMC did want the money. The council had a choice to make regarding the cuts. The fall out over the stadium made the decision easier. Do you really think that the Council would have removed the library if they had jointly built a sports village with Assem Allam and extended the KC?
I think we have to be realistic that te Name change may be tied to lucrative sponsorship deals. If that's the truth then I can't see how it isn't a better idea than squeezing money out of us lot instead. I say that with a heavy heart. Maybe we could compromise on Hull City Tigers. I fear not.
I didn't moan when NB was sacked, there's one part of your fire pissed on. Look at our squad & you'll see the reason we need to raise money. Changing the name of the club is not needed to raise money. The only thing holding back investment is our owner. He is letting his petulant spat with the local authority get in the way of forwarding the club. He is a hypocrite with weak values & principles.
IF there is sponsorship it's very much like a Red Bull deal as our name would be Hull Tigers and these clubs will have 'Tiger' or 'Tigers' in their name so it would look like their version of a Red Bull club. I can only think of ONE company with Tiger in myself and thats Tiger Beer
What's that got to do with anything? The council as good as rejected Allams sports village anyway by stating they've no intention of selling the stadium at all. They removed the library because it wasn't getting used at all and was a complete waste of money, costing them £85k every year for nothing, and they were facing having to make £12m savings. A fall out with Allam doesn't even come into it, it's entirely irrelevant.
The Allams need to 'leak' the sponsorship deals (names and figures) if he wants to get his point across. I am totally against the name change but I'm aware we need to bring in money from somewhere. But if the deal is so 'lucrative' that it will keep us afloat and allow us to compete in the PL for years to come while allowing me to still afford a pass (which will be going up to some extent regardless) I guess I could reluctantly accept it, although never support it.

Shouldn't matter anymore. The FA shouldn't let it happen, even if he does have a business plan. If they allow a chairman to blackmail his own fans, it doesn't cover them in any glory. They have their reputations at stake over this. If it goes through i'm done. I wish the lads well and good luck, but I won't be going back.
The shame in all of this is that Mr Allam has invested a lot into leaving a legacy he felt he could be proud of. This single action has undone all of that, yet still, he's in a position to actually enhance his legacy, by having the wisdom and dignity to change his mind. He doesn't even have to say he was wrong, just simply acknowledge that there's a far bigger issue on all of this and drop the name change. He could go even further and suggest working with local groups and business to secure income for the club. As it is, I think he's going to end up confused and bitter and his off spring will have it to overcome.

If he'd said yes, the KC would have been extended, we'd have a sports village and the area look a lot better than it does now. If the development had gone ahead the library would have remained and another one closed.
He's that already. The biggest shame is how it has ended up like this. It will make a fantastic case study of how emotions can change over a period of time towards one person. I'm sure AA isn't a bad man but it shows what can happen when wisdom and common sense take a back seat when the human ego is driving. Sad really.
