Had we lost that game it would have been a tough old psychological mountain to climb, springing back a couple of days later, and playing again with the Forest game still fresh in their minds. Now, they will be buoyed up, and ready for a couple of home games. Imagine 6 points from the next 6! 33 games gone! 12 points clear now! I can already taste the Old Trafford prawn sandwiches!
Although i agree that it defiantly gives us a psychological lift to come back from a goal down with less men, im not sure on the maths. We are currently 10 points clear of the playoffs, but if QPR win their game in hand, it could be 9. I'd like to think we have enough in the squad to get a win on Saturday, McGoldricks out for them and seems like he was an important playmaker. Plus the fact im actually going to this one
True enough. March fixtures (apart from Burnley away) are the sort of games where City should pick up plenty of points. Charlton, Barnsley, Blackpool, Yeovil, Blackburn. I know..football isn't played on paper etc, but I think we have the sort of games true champions should be winning. The exact sort of games we didn't win last March. It would be nice to be on 80 points by the end of March, so we could all get some sleep.
Try and look at it dispassionately - if any other team was where we are and had just gone 12 ganes unbeaten winning nine .. and salvaging draws from having been behind in the last two against two very dangerous teams (and with 10 men in the latter) - we'd pretty much think that they were 'home and hosed' ... With 15 games to go we already have the same points total as last season ... which was worth a play-off spot Now we are eight points clear of the nearest chaser ... It's true you can take absolutely nothing for granted in football ... but at the same time I'm not seeing any cracks ... I'd be tempted to drop Nuge for the Ipswich game, if it wasn't for the fact that he always seems to score against them ... but irrespective, I'll continue to enjoy the ride - beacuse not only is it in our own hands, but also, the chasers are going to have to go on phenomenal runs to catch us, with no slip ups ... and many still have games against each other too ..
... two draws will do for me ... that would mean 4 potential make up points evaporating into thin air ...

Have to say, their penalty was somewhat dubious... But what on Earth was Morgan doing? Why did he take so long? Did he forget which team he played for, and wasn't sure if to clear it or turn and shoot?
Nothing we could do about their first ... good instinctive finish ... gotta cut Wes some slack ... very rare mistake ... we'd all have taken a draw at the start of the evening so fair enough ... Konch on the other hand is, unfortunately, always likely to do something stupid like that ... whether strictly a yellow or red is irrelevant ... absolutely no need for that sort of tackle where the player was ... crass stupidity ... good news is that Jeff Schlupp is more than capable of covering and Konch may now find it difficult to get back in the team ... plonker.
Yeh not much we could have done about their first goal, I grant you. I also meant to mention the red card. Seemed a little harsh to me, thought it was a yellow. But like you say, uneccesary challenge... Had there been words between them or something? Seemed like an angry challenge!
Bloody hell. Watch Reid come in and deliver his elbow to Kev's jaw. What a nasty little (I say little ) ****. I hope the Football League look at that because if the officials had seen it then he'd have a 3 game ban.
Billy Davies is such an arsehole. You'd think he'd have a bit more respect to a player who served him well for a long time, rather than try and get him sent off. Glad he got sent to the stands for that. On Konchesky's red, I think it should have been a yellow. You'd be giving two or three reds a game if you did for every hard challenge like that, especially in the Championship. I don't think we'll get it rescinded though, will be surprised if it's even challenged. Gives Schlupp a chance to see what he can do, and with two (relatively) easy home games coming up, he can really bomb forward. I love it when De Laet and Schlupp play, gives us such an attacking outlook.
I call it how it is. The footage is there for you to see for yourself. In fairness, I believe if you rule out mistakes and bad decisions, it would have finished 1-0 to Forest. Now you can't say more balanced than that. Of course, the Konch and Darlow decisions would have had an impact too, so we'll never know.
Glad some of those that have left comments on Youtube noticed the Darrow foul. I was beginning to think I was seeing things that weren't there!
Someone had thrown a pie into the goal when we scored and fat boy Reid thought Super Kev was going for it!
