I note that Gorkks has had his red card overturned on appeal. Does anybody understand this? The popular, though infamous, image of crusty, dusty out of touch octogenarian F.A. grandees persists with such decisions. I personally would've overturned Andy Carroll's red the other week - though accept many wouldn't - but thought Kaspars' challenge was deserving of a sending off. Hell, what do I know?
So is there another panel to look at subtle stuff like Derry getting sent off when Young dived when he was already clearly offside - Reading seem to have someone looking out for them this panel with two red cards rescinded now.
reminds me of cardiff and the WFA, i dont think they got a red card that wasnt overturned. also, the player that should have been banned for our game scored for them. I still can comprehend how derrys and bartons red cards were upheld but at the same time knew they would be.
The desicions are somewhat inconceivable, just have to look at Johnson v. Remy a couple weeks back. And there are starting to be dozens every season. seems like most of them go the opposite of what you would think by using common sense.
They both did the same thing but Johnson faked getting butted yet again. Thats worse then what remy did. If anything Johnson should have got an extra game. No wonder players cheat and play act when they arent called up on it even under review.
