Cheers mate and thanks for your 'good luck' ....... it worked! I bought 2 tickets for the City end as a standby. Incredibly though, I was put in touch with a brilliant bloke at Cardiff City by a friend of a friend. He kindly said he'd message his contacts at the FA, Premier League, etc. and, tbh, I forgot all about it. Out of the blue, if you'll pardon the pun, a Sunderland supporter who's in the game e-mailed. He has 2 Sunderland tickets at face value and is meeting me at Wembley!!!!! The City tickets went to a Sunderland lad, off 606, who'd obviously like to swap them for Sunderland if possible.
I did actually give you the solution...as you could have avoided all of that complication, by simply joining Club Wembley & you could then have bought a hospitality seat at face value from a Wembley pass holder who didn't fancy seeing a one sided Mickey Mouse cup final
Yeah, that sounds about as far fetched as you could ever make up...... Is this your proposal for the 500 word radio 2 story for kids.
It looked so good for Sunderland yesterday. Cracking strike....to then be undone by two even better ones. Nothing worse than being beaten in a final at Wembley.....especially the Zenith Data Systems Cup!
I heard they made a mess of Covent Garden. They got undone by 2 great goals though, worthy of winning any trophy, not just the Rumbelows "big clubs field their stiffs" Cup
