  2. I used to like Wenger but he gets on my tits now. Why say Robben made more of it? It was a definte foul, penalty and red card, get on with it. He wouldn't have seen it at the other end <doh>

I honestly think a lot of our refs would have penalised Robben for going in on the keeper with his studs up.<whistle>

Just because we haven't won the UCL, is no reason we shouldn't fight to be in it, to play against the best, and to be in one of the best competition. So you guys going on about why we like to play in it even though we don't win it, is just plain stupid, if that's the case, why do you guys bother playing in the EPL since you haven't won the thing in how long now?

All teams want to play in the competition, win or lose, but you guys know that, but you guys are just very sour and bitter towards Arsenal, but then again, that is the Liverpool way, being sour and bitter about everything. You're the has been loser on the block telling everybody about your glory days, hard for you guys to accept the fact that your glory days have long ended, with United overtaking you in terms of success.

I'll also make a bet right now Loserpool won't win the UCL next year, and most of you even know you won't win it, but I doubt any of you will now say you don't want to be in the competition as a result of that, which again, shows how **** your arguments are....Poor bitter bitter Loserpool fans, go on though, tell everybody about your great history, lol.

The last time Liverpool were in contention to win the PL was in 2008-09, Arsenal haven't featured in the title race since they last won it in 2003-04. In the CL your only final 2006, our last final 2007. So Liverpool have been closer to both titles more recently than Arsenal despite the last 3 years.

Anyway I actually like Arsenal, they play attractive football and haven't relied on big money like the 2 pretenders, I would rather see arsenal win the Pl or CL than any of the other lot. The fact is though over the last 10 years they have had many promising teams that never took the last step needed to be winners. Whether this is a mentality issue or simply a lack of funds for Wenger to push for the title I don't know, but they do seem to have bottled it since we saw the invincibles those many years ago.

Anyway good luck to Arsenal i hope you do win the CL drop to 5th in the league and take the place of a resurgent man utd in next years comp!

In as much as I want 5rsena1 to have a good run in the champion league knock out stages, you people were unlucky yesterday. At least you
deserved a draw. Having said that, Liverpool had won more league titles than 5rsena1,also won five European cups and 5rsena1 yet to win any.
Left to me, if Liverpool cannot win the league this year I would prefer 5rsena1 to win it instead of Chelsea. Do you call that bitterness? <doh>

We'll do that, right after you tell us about how great you will be down the road, when your young players mature, when your good players come back from injury, when you open your chequebooks, when you pay off your stadium, and on and on and on. Your famous Arsenal ambition - 4th is fine for now but just you wait - one day things will be better! Yet they never are, why is that? How come we've been closer to winning all the competitions you're so fond of playing in than you have in the past 10 years?

If a has been Liverpool's glory days are behind it, what does that say about Arsenal's accomplishments? A CL final 8 years ago? We got to one 7 years ago (and we won it too, though I'm sure that extra year falls into your "history" timeframe).

Or were you thinking of your yearly 4th place finish? We finished second 5 years ago. Your last time doing that was in 2005. FA Cup? Your lot - 2005. Ours, 2012 (We won it in 2006 too - history!).

No Liverpool fan thinks we will come close to winning the CL next year. We want to get back in it. We'll probably not get past the group stages. But we'll STILL have come closer to winning it than you have - despite all your special "participation" medals.

You seem to be the bitter one, or simply frightened that you'll have more serious competition for it. It's understandable either way.

You're right, if we qualify we won't win, but I would want to go out trying and giving it our best shot. Not like the rest of the English teams.

perfect example of why an independant match citing officer per rugby is required.

this will never get punished but wenger should be able to go to the citing officer and say this occurred and then he's got to go find the tapes see if it is proved then hand down punishment.

this is a 1 match ban min IMO... perhaps 3.. i dunno.

i know not an fa issue(unless it was Luis), but do eufa, fifa punish this sort of behaviour?

He will definitely get punished for that. Nothing will happen to Robben though

both should be punished, but could your club not use that as an argument for an appeal, why is one punishable but not the other, or would they argue dif scenario bollocks etc.

cant see how eufa, fifa could argue a ****er sign is worst than someone who was doing what he was, (what is he doing, spitting?)

    #478
  19. If biting is seven / ten games, then spitting should be the same. Afterall, its lengthy because of the disgrace rather than impact; punching someone causes more damage but gets a shorter ban.

    so this is my point.

the only way to get punished is if something is in a ref's report OR the press kick up enough fuss. if the ****er sign is punished its cos the 4th official reported it i reckon.

if the spit aint in a report the will is not there.

so i think rugby citing is good. wenger could go complain about robben diving rather than whine in press, making a meal of it or spitting.... ie don't whine put your money where your mouth is...
