Stone wall pen for Munich but pedantic red card...Robben had lost control of the ball and was heading away from goal..yellow would have been enough but the officials these days seem to forget this tournament is screened all over the world and soccer is in the entertainment business and heavily sponsored by global brands.

No one is suggesting partisan refereeing like we have in the Premier League...

...A bit of common sense...that's all..the penalty was reward enough in this instance.

Predictions for the final score. Arsenal have done very well but surely they will soon tire. 3-0

0-1 maybe....BM more than happy to play in front of the Arsenal back line with all the ball (Pep M.O. for years) and Arsene can't risk going 0-2 down...even at 1-1 he needs a goal in Bavaria.

He can always recite the Man City result to inspire for the return leg...fanciful though but nothing is impossible.

    0-2 is!

................ and just before the end BM hit the woodwork. No way back from that. Hope their league form doesn't suffer; they must be exhausted.

Strange that both English teams went down to 10 men.

Not too bad in the end 3 winners and 3 places and a tidy profit. Wooly sorry about the big outsider i threw in for the 8:25, was just a speculative one, more hopeful than anything, nothing stood out when i originally looked at the race

Both red cards resulted from both English teams being exposed right through the middle of their defences by a little interplay and a little pace.

We saw how easy Fulham was able to head away 80% of the crosses that the rather pathetic manu continually fired in a few weeks ago.

Our 6"+ CH's don't like interplay right in front of them and prefer to double up and head the ball anywhere.

Indicative of the premiership and the way the teams play tbh.
