It's easier to sing yourself than to stop others from doing so. We often sang out to drown out the huns in the past. If the majority are against ROH why are they...well...the silent majority?

I only mentioned their acts because it annoys me how some fans think of them as not caring about the club...reeks of irony and hypocrisy sometimes.

It is the law I care about...Celtic could close the stands until silence was promised and I'd not criticize too harshly.

To have a group of football fans act more mature than the government....love to see it

I get you, I really do, but these people were asked to stop singing the songs before the law came along....and did ironically, its only more recently its crept back in. I do not understand why they feel the need to sing these songs. If their intention is to create a better atmosphere to support the team then that objective would be completed by singing football songs - I refuse to believe the team play better when the fans sing about ireland over Henrik Larsson. If in fact this is not their intention well why are they doing it at a football ground?

I accept many of those critical of the GB are the self same people who sit in the stands silent as if they were in the library, but thats irrelevant to the issue. Why, if their intention is to create atmosphere, cant they do so which might not be as offensive? Its not like we dont have any songs - in fact we have songs THEY made up that are football related

We could offend members of our own support/team/board let alone others. There simply is no need.

If they cut out the singing and still get arrests for "nothing" then you have a better argument for changing the law. Right now you are giving the law makers enough rope to hang yourselves and let them off the hook. They can justify themselves by suggesting people can be offended (which is true) and therefore the law is necessary.

    In my opinion of course

Isn't buying drugs illegal? You should stop buying illegal drugs.

    Will you stop?

I dont believe you have. You have made the point but ignored the context.

and context is crucial in this Act.

He was round here last week, he rode here on a rainbow coloured unicorn. At least that's my recollection of events.
