Jenners... not sure how EU works, weren't animal battery farms banned in EU? In US they still use battery farms for hens and chickens- pretty much standing room only for them for their entire (short lives)... coincidentally was reading about this earlier in the week. Chickens are killed at or before 6 months of age. Hens are repurposed as chickens at about 18 months of age (egg production slows a little after 12 months so they get slaughtered to make room for younger hens). Natural lifespan for chickens is 15 years. Sad life for chickens and hens growing up in factories. I remember my mum used to pick up eggs straight from the farm in England, I assume that is still an option for people in rural areas. Harder to get free range eggs/chickens in America. Its still possible, but you have to sacrifice a kidney to afford them in grocery stores. Must admit... I only buy free range half the time... and I eat a lot of chicken... I contribute to the poor creatures sad short lives. The hospital is on the route between a chicken farm and a processing plant. Always sad to see the poor birds in tiny cages being driven past me en route to death as I go to work.
Did anyone see that programme the other week presented by twin doctors about how we're addicted to fatty foods and sugary foods but especially foods that contain both fat and sugar? There wasn't much new evidence but it was interesting. Gerrez over to you - fats or sugars?
probably is banned now, not sure though, was a while ago i remember something about it. same with most things to be honest, if you knew how the ****a was made you wouldn't want to touch it, and i mean from simple things like sweets to how they make pies etc. we cant really complain too much, considering most of us contribute to the problem ie supply and demand. watched qi while back and it listed the things that American companies are allowed to get away with in producing product ie ingredients, and i cant remember what they was, but some of them was ****ing disgusting, thank **** we are more sting-ant over here lol. don't help you out much, but you get more sun than me you batard, so suffer use to have chickens, and you can not beat fresh out the chickens bum eggs in the morning.
I wouldn't mind keeping some hens. Not allowed in my neighbourhood; but, when I win the lottery, I'd like to have some on my vast estate. Neighbour as a kid had hens. They have funny quirky personalities.
Have you ever tested the addiction theory by trying to give up a particular food? I didn't believe in food addictions until I tried to lose a few stone a while ago and cut out sugary things like cake and choccy bics completely [still ate some sugars] I was very light headed, headaches. Also seen coffee withdrawal from those who've cut down or not had any for a few days [I hate coffee] - shakes, sweating. It's really weird but it is an indicator of addiction ie a substance your body is used to and not getting so craves it!

Gone without certain foods a few times. Even gone without any fast food at all for two three months before. I'm not a addictive person. Things like McDonalds get easier though. If you have one you want another the next day but the urge dies the longer you go. The urge never gets too strong for me though. My floor is food in general. I know I eat more than I need to but if I have smaller portions I get restless and end up bitting and bobbing.
I have a sweat tooth. I like baked goods. I'm good at cutting it out if I cut it out completely. Lost a lot of weight to get to my ideal weight twice. As soon as I start slowly introducing baked stuff and blam... the floodgates open and I gain lots of weight back. I'm starting my once every three or four years weight loss again now. Hope to be svelte again by summer. Typically takes me 6 months to lose the weight. Coffee doesn't really impact me. Typically I drink about 5 or 6 cups a day (or tea... go through phases where I drink nothing but coffee... then tea... then coffee... then rooibos... back to coffee... yerba mate.... etc). Never have withdrawal symptoms. Don't typically drink it on weekends either. Drinking coffee never prevents me sleeping, if anything a nice warm mug of coffee puts me to sleep at night. Sucks... can't use caffeine to help myself stay awake. I've become immune to it.
I got very addicted to energy drinks for a while just couldn't function in the morning without one, bloody things are dangerous.
And somewhere a bride to be is still wondering what happened to her pals that suddenly went missing. Bit Ariel Castro sound proofed basement sounding if you ask me.
I used to drink Lucazade all the time until I found out the sugar levels. Seriously designed for professional sports competitors with the amount of effort it takes to burn it off. I occasionally have a bottle still but usually before going to football, very rare I have one any other time. Annoying though as the bottle design is genius , especially if you have kids I don't have coffee, I don't have hot drinks at all. Generally drink water throughout the day and lager at night. I don't smoke or do any drugs (any more) either. I play football three times a week and occasionally cycle to work too. So all in all, I'm a fairly healthy person bar my eating
Do they not have lucozade light or anything to that effect? They have Gatorade G2 and Powerade Zero over here to offer that sweet but not too much with the sugards. Only time I drink the full Gatorades are in the Summer when playing or before a game.
Been a bit of a connoisseur of these in my time. Monster: A sugary sweet Red Bull with a slightly weird, medicine mixed with candy stick taste, kicks like a batard. Good ****. Buzzzzziiiiiiiiiin'! Monster Rehab Orange: Doesn't have that typical energy drink taste, if you buy your energy drinks for that you'll be disappointed, nice light carbonation, quite thirst quenching and refreshing, not as aggressive a buzz as the original green one. Red Bull: The original, nice gradual burst of energy, lightly carbonated, less carbonation than Monster, milder on the palate and tastes more natural even though that's impossible. Relentless: Similar to Monster, but more watered down, only not as or extreme in taste/effect. Rock Star: Quite a citrusy sweet concoction, gives a pretty good kick but not at the Monster Green levels. Rock Star Super Sours (Green Apple/Bubbleberry): Nice to have something different but not sour enough or as sour as they suggest, good buzz though. Will add more later.
Only really like Lucazade out of the energy drinks and I always get the light version when I can anyway. Same as I also get light/diet version of cans or any other pop too if I get some. But as I said, more often than not, I have water.
Not THAT kind of hen! I'll have sheep for that purpose. Cheaper and you don't have to hide them in the basement
