Sorry trunds , nobody is bigger than the club, not even Huw . I've said , and will continue to say, that up untill the sacking of Laudrups agent Jenkins was fabulous in his job . After the agent was sent packing , till Laudrup got sacked Huw was a different person whose goal was to bring Laudrup hardship , and ultimately hardship to the team in general . If you want to give Jenkins a blank check on past achievements , fine , just don't expect others to do the same .

The problem with this is you are crediting Jenkins with a level of power he simply doesn't have. He is a mouthpiece for board lead decisions.

Nobodys bigger than the club , not even the board then . Our manager spent the whole season walking in a mine field laid by Huw and his board, while trying to function within injuries and 4 competitions. Bad ****ing timing I'd say , our biggest season ever and they take things personal and ruin it for the fans and the team. Thats all. I understand the whole get behind the new mansger arguement and all that , but not blindly.

Not true, I've enjoyed watching us under Monk, and the players seem to be enjoying themselves more too.

They haven't ruined it for me or for most fans. Only a few people like you are upset because you can't or won't move on.

You said the board ruined it for the fans and players. Valley seems to be saying that the fans and players are happy, so nothing is ruined. That's just you making things up.

To say that the firing of Laudrup and the "giving up " on the FA Cup isn't ruining things for fans and players alike , in this most historic of seasons is blind nonsense .It'not just about mantaining the"Greed money "the Premier league offers to some .

I agree that we should have had a proper go at trying to beat Everton and win the FA Cup. But Laudrup had to go. It was him staying so long that spoilt it for me. Staying in the PL isn't about greed.Yes, it's a huge amount of money, but we need it to help us stay there. What do you suggest, that we just content ourselves with less money and Championship football?

No , I'm suggesting we run the club on values that we always have and not let money value dictate direction. And whether or not you want to face it or not , some see that Laudrup didn't have to go .

Whatever Breezy. It's happened, so just move on. Whether it was right or wrong, it's done. End of story. But I'm sure you'll be droning on about it for months to come.

You've been polluting this board with rubbish posts for weeks but that takes the biscuit.

Ruined it by beating Cardiff 3-0? FFS

I disagree quite strongly about that statement. It was our playing style and more importantly our squad & club TOGETHERNESS that was under threat and THAT is why ML has gone. Those are the principles that dictated this direction.

The argument is it wasn't his fault is one that has value, but it doesn't get away from the fact that there was something broken behind the scenes and unfortunately for ML his departure was the fix (at least in the short-term.)

For better or for worse, I'm interested to know WHO broke WHAT. It seems that Monk was the only player Laudrup failed to say goodbye to and wonder if there's anything in that. He did wish him luck though.

I think the scope of these assertions and supposed threats has yet to be determined. No validation anywhere that these were the actual problems. No validation anywhere that what has happened is any sort of fix to anything.

As much as some would like to sweep this all under the rug and just "move on" - this episode in the Club's history is not going to be closed until: a) the season is over and we know whether we are still in the Prem or not; b) the Club and Laudrup have settled the contract dispute and the dirty laundry has been cleaned or hidden away. Not until these two items are behind us will we all know whether this was a disaster or not and where responsibilities ultimately fall.

Until then the "move on" types are hanging their hopes on wishful thinking ... maybe even prayers ... while the rest of us are left shaking our heads in dismay and disgust at the money we might lose (through Laudrup's contract and / or relegation from the Prem) and how badly the reputation of the Club may have been tarnished. Live in a dream or deal with reality.

Who is living in a dream? The reality is Michael Laurup is no longer our manager.
