All 4 are inconsistent.... but all 4 when on form are unstoppable. One day this club will rise again, may be nest season or the season after but good times will be back at AG. These 4 can have a huge say in it. Flint I feel will get better with age/experience and he will be the CB we've needed since McCombe Baldock was lacking in confidence and missing sitters, now joint 2nd top goal scorer in our league. JET recently hasn't been scoring but his link up play with Baldock has been good and some of the passes he picks out are unreal. He needs to get a goal soon to get his confidence back up. Waggy, not sure why he gets so much hate off of Redprintt, Yes he can go quiet but he has a good shot/finish and adopted the RWB role very well. Missing him at present!
Flint - Looked more confident on Saturday. I though he was going to be a right liability after the spate of OG's but he does have the potential to improve further Baldock - Desperately needs more help, whether its from a fellow striker or JET. He's been the star and consistent performer this season JET - Beginning to think that Mick McCarthy isn't as daft as he looks or sounds. I feared that with cooler weather and heavy pitches he would go missing in games and that's exactly what he has done. The $64,000 question is to persevere and just hope he can produce a moment of magic to win a game, or whether he is currently a luxury that now needs a spell in the reserves while we try and survive. I honestly think he is hampering us at the moment with his lack of goals and seemingly lazy arse attitude. Waggy - Agree that I will be happier when he's back and fit. He is a bit of a lightweight at times though
Pretty much copy and paste Angelics answer for me. Flint is improving, Baldock gives 110% as they say, Waggy is doing ok when on his game and JET is...er...JET. One second of brilliance and 90 minutes of nothing. Do we or can we accomodate him at this present time?
Agree with virtually everything you say - I guess the big question on JET is whether the early season form (when he was excellent) or the current form is the real player?
Flint-needs a lot more improving, and quick, inconsistent.needs to work on his footwork with ball. Baldock- hats off to workrate and extra presure of captaincy, sets standards, feel really sorry for all the runs he makes that dont get seen/read by rest of team. JET- on his day one piece of quality/magic and is a match winner, but getting fed up with his apparent lack of enrgy/effort recently. waggy- sorry maybe on my own here, but runs around like a headless chicken and gives nothing for me.
I agree with what's said. A lot of players you only realise they are good when their not playing. Wagstaff falls into that category, I do notice he seems to be a second half player whether that's down to instructions or opposition players tiring. JET like Angelic states I was worried about as the 5 mins per game he is fantastic but the other 85 he may as well sit on the bench. For a big unit he seems really lightweight to me and won't do the simple things which seems to result in errors ie, this constant back header from throwin's or trying to chest it when a simple head it to another player would work more affective. Flint is still young and needs to improve on concentration. Baldock if the rest of the team had his determination we would not be in this predicament. And even Messi misses one on ones a few times.
