Darren Lewis was on EPL fanzone the other day saying Sp*rs could win their next six games (including Manchester City) because they had the firepower to beat any team at WHL.
some people are naturally optimistic. and god bless them. Others , like Unitedindread , are just .....err *struggles to find correct adjective............*
Giving some credit to Spurs here, as turbulent as this season has been for them, they're currently only 2 points away from 4th spot, so that's not really bad at all, they still have a very good chance of getting into the top 4, it's going to be up to Liverpool to take that spot, because Spurs aren't going to just go away, Pool have gotta earn it! At this point I don't consider United as real contenders-challengers for 4th place.
Our chance for fourth ended against Stoke (last team i thought would be our undoing). The fight for third/fourth will be very interesing between you, Liverpool, Spurs and Everton.
I was being serious, i really believe City and Chelsea will finish above you. The last two positions will be very tight going off the present situation but you are definate favourites for third.
I am not being funny here, you have a very hard series of fixtures coming up, if you do well in these then you will still be in the mix for top spot.
The present situation being that if we win today we will be 15 clear of Utd, 11 clear of Spurs, 10 of Everton, 6-9 ahead of Liverpool and with Chelsea playing against City, we will either go back top of the table and be 4 points clear of Chelsea, or be 1 point off top of the table and 5 points ahead of Chelsea. We have also lead the league for almost it's entirety this season. What part of that situation suggests to you that we are going to be in a battle to get 3rd or 4th spot with the likes of Spurs/Everton/Liverpool? With about a third of the EPL games left to play we are firmly in the title race and have a significant gap over the teams that are fighting for 4th.
Saw this on the spuds board earlier. 'I think all of us secretly believe that, one day, Soldado will come good.'
and they also believe that Father Christmas and the Easter Bunny are real !! sad deluded children that they are, when they grow up they will realise it was all a fantasy.
