Neither of them was as good as latchford.

Mind you, Douglas was always good for a laugh <laugh>

I'd personally have it the other way around. I think Lennons approach would be far more suited to the more primitive Championship.

    Interestingly that's Ruddy's biggest strength.

Dave I know you've made it clear about your feelings for Lennon before but I've never heard why... What is it about him that you feel so strongly about? Don't know that much about him myself.

Whenever he is interviewed he always appears to be arrogant and disrespectful, there is something about him that raises my dislike, it's not something I can put my finger on, it's an impulsive reaction!

I think some fans feel the same about CH. Not being arrogant but being to passive and soft, a bit of a plain Jane if you like.

    It's interesting isn't it?

If he has the ability to win football matches, I would suggest that is the prime and major criterion to factor in. What he 'comes over like' and whether fans of the club have taken a personal dislike to him is completely irrelevant.

Thank feck Dave has no influence in the boardroom of NCFC <yikes>

i do wonder sometimes whether we need a complete bastard in charge. we certainly could do with one in our team!

i'd much rather have chris hughton represent my club than neil lennon (it genuinely sends a shiver down my spine) but as cromer says, its about results at the end of the day. i still find it amazing there is so much personal dislike for our current manager. slag off his record if you like but some of the abuse he gets on a personal level makes me feel sick. if hughton had never managed us and was an option to manage us next season i would rate both he and lennon very closely in terms of ability, so would he be any better? they both have good points and bad but their strong points are perhaps opposites to each others, and that's why it might work. we won't know unless it happens! i suppose i just hoped for a more sophisticated approach but we shall see. malky mackay is a nice bloke and would represent our club superbly, but i wouldn't want him in charge (although I'd be more accepting of taking him if we were relegated) - so it works both ways.

we all need to keep an open mind, even if like me, you've already built up a dislike of someone. it shouldn't matter - if they are managing our club they should be 100% supported.

He's a can be wee OTT arsehole on the touchline ... but he's usually measured when interviewed and publicly, he's always up for a chat.

Sorry pud, I can only speak as I find! Quick question for you, why do Scottish people refer to piss as pish? I've noticed it a lot!

Fair enough ... He is the type people like to "hate" ... most of it for no reason just a guy you wanna slap!

As I say, on the touchline, he's a ranting angry wee man ... and can feel "hard done by" after a match but generally interviews well.

No idea ... pish sounds better as a swear word. Must be the scotch accent!!
