I have hate them since i was a child so why change it now. Cheap beer is good thing all the other things are not that relevant. I was in budapest week ago and there was a bar where i could get a pint under a pound. Well, that was relevant.

Enjoy yourself Norway, have you been before? As is well documented its a very quiet stadium, but a very comfortable one.

I'm off to see Hertha Berlin v Borussia Dortmund in May, I'm told the atmosphere should be great in the old Olympic Stadium.

Cheers Stan. Yes I've been to Arsenal-Wigan a couple of seasons ago, nice ground but as you say a bit flat. Maybe the atmosphere in an evening Champions League match is better, the Bayern fans will stand up and make a lot of noice, it might make the Gooners fans join in.

Enjoy Germany in May, should be a cracking match as Hertha is having a good season. Never been to the Olympiastadium myself but I've heard it is surprisingly loud for such a big venue with running tracks and all. It's was upgraded before the World Cup in 2006 so will probably be quite comfortable as well.

It seems to depend what Computer you're on mate. Some people can see some pictures and others only see this: ...

It looks like nobody can see all of them though. The Ghost of not606 perhaps?

Mmmm ponder. Lol, I love foreign football.
But I would rather go to see the Germans, French and the Dutch league than the Spanish, Italian and Portuguese teams. But having said that, I've been to watch Barca in the Nou Camp, Roma in the Olympic Stadium and Sporting Lisbon in the Stadio de Luz. I haven't been to Germany, France ( Been, but not to watch football ) or Holland. So in the word's of Sword's..... My post's aren't to be trusted. :emoticon-0114-dull:

    Have a good night Norway

Arsenal IMO are quality and I love the fact AW does his own thing and has time and time again built great sides who play without doubt IMO the best football from this country

    Barca the same

No mistake they both play their games and that's football to me

Reminds me of the way QPR used to play in that I mean flair comes first built on belief

City an example of how you can force your way to the top but never have the minerals when the best is asked of you

IMO I give Harold credit for building from the back with us and taking us from a team that could only string 5 passes max together to one who controls games ... A work in progress and miles away from success but the right way ... If he did tactics then who knows what could happen

Ball rentention means control and grows any team at any level it really is that simple

Barca always have two or three options on the ball ... Always
Without it they hunt in packs like a family of wolves until they get the most important thing about the game ... The ball ... Can never understand on here how people miss this

    Beer is always relevant.
I had a German mate stop supporting them because they always won every season and it was boring, I told him to become an R and see the other side of the coin.

Sorry mate, but that's utter tripe!

I don't watch them because I find their brand of football boring. I realise how good their players are and how technically correct their play is, but I find repeatedly switching the play from left to right without trying to play a forward pass for what seems like for ever a real turn off.
I appreciate good football - I loved our team in the 70s, I loved watching the Brazil team in the 70s, the Liverpool teams in the 80s and I like watching Real Madrid. I also like the way Bayern play the game too, even they don't always employ a main striker, they seem much more direct in their play than Barca.
I hate the fact that Barca play act at every opportunity and every official gives them everything.

It has nothing to do with them being foreign.

I watched last night because I support all the British teams in the CL, as I will be supporting Arsenal tonight.

Liverpool are boring too, they are English, well if you count scousers as English.
The let's hold onto the ball all game is terrible to watch for a neutral or a fan of the opposing team.

Flyer as i have said to you ... this is the game now and this season we have played some much better possession football and the masses called for that on here.

The game is boring today Col but the only way forward ... wait until you see the opening games of the world cup ... Heat and fear of losing.

I truly admire the Spanish game as it takes a lot more effort to sustain that amount of retention and I openly ask is there a better way to defend a game?

Having teh ball and teh confidence to go with it allows a team to probe ... Last night City were on the rails. It takes that first goal always to change the game.

I as much as any one love a open game example being us against Burnley but it was shockingly bad football from both teams at times but great for us the fans ... you want sustained success then the Barca is the only way that means success today

The Barca way was completely ripped apart last season by the Bayern way. The Barca way is not the only way.

couldnt agree more...pass and move & keep possession & then strike when the opportunity arises. If it was that easy why isnt everyone doing it. Takes top quality players, fantastic technique and people forget how hard they work when they havent got the ball...which isnt very often admittedly

Agreed. I just don't particularly like watching it. I can completely appreciate the talent involved, just as I can appreciate the talent of a jockey or racing driver, but I find horse racing and motor racing equally mind numbing!

The moments when Barca score or put a forward move together are brilliant, but I don't want to sit through the endless passing before that.
