gandy, I love you like a brother but we will never see eye to eye on this, I loathe the man, I am physically repulsed by him, nothing whatever to do with religion, it's just the way he is, I really can't stand the man! Sorry!

Fair enough Dave. We usually agree I'd say. On this we don't, it happens.

A poster on Tottenham's board says something similar.

I appreciate there are several big "ifs" involved, but if we survive, I can actually imagine a situation where we have David Moyes in charge

I do think a bastard would be good for us. Someone that means everyone hates playing us, frankly the best managers are not likeable people.

In all the hooha about what David McNally said, I haven't noticed anyone mentioning this:

"It is fine margins in our sport and what you have to be sure of is a guaranteed improvement."

It is plausible to suppose that when Gunny was sacked, the board were sure of a guaranteed improvement. But it seems patently obvious to me that they cannot be of the same view with regard to firing CH. "Huge gamble" would be more appropriate. <ok>

I did notice that an found it a very comforting statement, frequently managers seem to be sacked only to be replaced with the least objectionable candidate for the sake of a change as has been seen it's not really that effective, if we replace Hughton it has to be with a view to a long term appointment and that it best are in the summer when there are far more options and more time available for the due diligence. Its good to se McNally thinks like that too.

Alex Ferguson strikes me as a horrible person and doesn`t mind upsetting people to guarantee success even his own star players, i see Hughton`s quiet methodical approach to be a weakness.
Some of the squad will never get a chance and his favorites will play every game regardless of form, this is fantastic if results are going your way otherwise it seems that he is stubbornly trying to force a style of play and personnel that doesn`t work, the Becchio Elmander debate is enough to prove his inflexible character.
I would welcome Lennon purely because he worked well with Hooper and would poach any Celtic players that he deemed worthy i don`t care what color his hair is or what brand of Christianity he subscribes to plus he is fiery and likes to win <ok>

If there is any truth in this rumor then our PR machine has scored a massive own goal by even commenting on it while CH is still in charge .

I just wanted to say that I think this is the first time I have ever agreed with something Pyjamas has said. And I agree wholeheartedly.

I see what McNotQuiteSoNasty is doing now. The longer he keeps Hooton, the greater the guarantee the change will be an improvement! What is it now, one win in 11? Not a tough act to follow, Roy Keane could probably follow that!

    Bah!

If it's in the daily record...you need not worry.

If the daily record told me tomorrow will be Wednesday,I'd check my calendar.

Surely whether people 'like' him or not is completely irrelevant. I know he's had all sorts of sectarian grief to tolerate up north, but that in itself has proved he's no pushover / quitter.

He's still there, albeit in a one team league.

The irony here is that McNally, by speaking to the media as and when he did has opened the floodgates to gormless speculation that may otherwise not have existed.
Though the first deadline for season ticket renewals may have forced his hand a tad? :emoticon-0112-wonde

Do you disagree slightly then pud?

Seriously, if Lennon was to come to us as manager, how do you think he'd do with us?

I think he'd do ok... he get best out if Hooper in my opinion and could see him poaching Celtics better players...lustig rb, Matthews rb/lb commons cm, van dyk cb ... maybe foster gk.

With a bit if cash, he can get a team playing attractive footie...Celtic are a selling club, so some games style has been poor.

Also,if he brought his scouting team...generally it's quids in !!!!

Hmmmm. We had Forster before. Not too keen on having former players back.
