I think so, I used to spend hours going through my stamp collection with the Stanley Gibbons catalogue totalling up how much it was worth, but of course it is generally a buyer's market.

I used to have a sizeable collection but then found girls in my teenage years and sold it for peanuts...

Its Peterson's Folly in Sway, Hampshire.....the pictures don't show on the iPad, but if you click on where they should be in a 'reply with quote' mode the links saying what they are do.

Yes, that is definitely the achilles heel of my image based quiz questions and now everyone knows!

There's even a Mini Me nearby.

A much smaller tower lies over the road from the folly

For anyone interested, some more background info on Peterson's Folly, which apparently is now a B&B with access to the top level, which would be rather neat.

"In 1990 Paul Atlas converted the first five storeys into a sumptuous bed and breakfast étape, which allowed guests to climb safely to the top of the tower and stare out over the world from the first and only rural skyscraper."

Something has changed on the site...I think images that are posted direct from your pictures files are ok, but those from URL links just come out as ... on some platforms, certainly IOS. They've dropped the Not 606 app from the App Store too. I've got a Google Nexus as well (was given it free for some reason), played with it for about 15 minutes before abandoning, laughably weak compared to the Apple stuff. My kids, who have iPads, have scorned it too.

Do I get to ask a question Killy? I was just upfront about how I got the answer, about 90% of them are Googled I reckon.

I'm going to anyway. What is the chief grape variety (there are many, many other varieties which can be included) in Chateauneuf du Pape, a delicious glass of which I am currently quaffing very contentedly, easily forgetting football.

Strangely I know that Chateauneuf du Pape is a blend from up to 13 different grape varieties, but I'll be damned if I can name the main one!

Yes, you're definitely up - good question.

I've just come in from clearing 45 cm of drifted blowing snow from my driveway - snowblower just made it through the odeal, I lost the protective metal underplate so belts & fly-wheels are currently exposed to the elements.

Had a hot shower, I'm totally exhausted and looking forward to my leg of NZ lamb dinner and am already 2/3 of the way through a rather good red wine that someone brought over at Christmas - Las Moras Cabernet Sauvignon 2013from Argentina (San Juan Cuyo) - screw cap - $13 guy in the govt run liquor store recommended it - good choice.

On the subject of Chateauneuf du Pape, which is a fine wine, as a teenager I read that Cote de Ventoux (geographically nearby) was a good poor man's version of this wine and I remember in the early 1970's Tesco carrying this quite cheap.

You are of course right. I'll be back after I've picked the boy up from rugby training. And walked the dog. And probably done numerous other tasks....
