Glad to see i'm mentioned in this debate - i'd hate to feel left out. As much as i agree with a lot of what Spanish says (you all ARE a bunch of ******s - only kidding, god bless ya) - he does come across as quite argumentative. That said, it would be rather boring if we all were happy and we all agreed with each other. I'm all up for a heated debate, as it shows a bit of passion, as long as the arguments/debates are constructive and not just sweeping statements.
Look at it this way, we could have somebody on here who claims to know everything about the club including what colour pants the players are wearing! now that would be really annoying!
Me and Spanish have rarely seen eye to eye but despite his hatred of Mick he does make some valid points about him even if they're abit one sided (but aren't most people) and even if it's what he has deserved for the vile behaviour on numerous occassions he did seem a little ganged up on this thread and goaded even if he was being a prick. As I've said he does actually seem to be more of a soft touch nowadays so it does puzzle me why suddenly this was the straw that broke the camels back, he's been alot more vile and idiotic in days gone past. I don't think he should be banned, as every once in a while he does add to debate but certainly the disgusting insults and vile comments should be kept in check (mods?). There is nothing wrong with strong debates but just because you disagree with someones opinion doesn't mean you have to insult their intelligence with a pathetic insult, if you have enough sense about you, you should be able to debate the point not just throw a tirade of insults!!
I really don't think that anyone is seriously asking for Spanish to be banned, are they? After all, like his views or not, he's most certainly one of our own, Ipswich through and through. You lot should see some of the bollocks that us Blues who "go away" on this site get thrown our way!
KOPR has already said his piece and I'll back him up. Spanish and many of us on here have been together for a good few years now and I would not like to see him banned. I believe we are adults and as such make our own choices. If somebody is annoying you, ignore them. Nobody is forcing you to engage in conversation, even if you're being called out. KOPR and myself are only here to keep things ticking over, not to play headmaster.

I struggle to keep up with what is ok to say and what is not these days....I remember a discussion when someone used the term 'mental' but I've seen the word '******' used loads without a flutter I don't understand how starting off a post with being offensive will add gravitas to a point of view.
I concur certain language and unwarrented personal abuse shouldn't be acceptable on this site. There's nothing wrong with a bit of banter but sometimes the word banter is brought up to put a veil over personal abuse making it acceptable. I know in the past certain members have left because they feel they've been bullied off the board, although that hasn't happened so much recently. And Hamps perhaps there was a bit of pot kettle black with what Westy was saying but I think everyone of us would lose our rag with Spanish every once in a while

With quite a lot of the quotations you have used to try to back your argument, they are genuine questions. I fail to understand the issue with asking Spanish regarding work, which to be fair Spanish had no issue in answering. No problem with you saying that, as we've all been slated, spoken to rudely, etc by Spanish week upon week, month after month. Have I responded like this to Spanish before? No. Have others? Generally people have bitten their tongue, and not said a great deal. Perhaps if Spanish could have been easier to get along with, not abusing everyone and throwing toys out of pram over / and over again, then I wouldn't have resorted to that. Anyway, here's hoping we can move forwards and get some good discussions going again, which by and large we achieve very well on this board, starting with the Leicester game Saturday
