Queeny, you don't need to spell it out for me, mate - I understand exactly what you're saying and have all along. Your original comments, when read in context with the previous sentence, was that, in your opinion, the best side in the league is the one that plays Barca/Arsenal style football rather than one which may win the league playing Stoke/Wimbledon style football, and therefore you'd rather watch Burnley than Leicester. You can't knock our league position, so you're having a pop in the only way you can, by intimating (without saying it directly) that we're not playing football in a skillful, stylish way. My comments were a subtle way of saying you're talking out of your arse. We've played some amazing stuff this year. I've seen Burnley play about five times this season and, apart from finishing, have seen nothing that would indicate they play better football than us. Obviously, as you're a WUM, I don't expect you to admit that we're playing the best football but please don't make out we're only up their because we just happen to be more consistent (which I've seen you say elsewhere) than better teams because, from what I've seen, there are no better teams, and you'll just embarrass yourself a little more.
I give up ...... Ok, yes you are the best teamin this division and wil be the best in the prem and win the CL very soon !!! Not sure how anyone ever beat you this season though...They must be a "super-team"....? I honestly havent got the time to explain it again so YES YOU ARE THE BESTEST EVER !! happy now EDIT..This thread was started as a light hearted joke and a way of congratulating you for your position in the league and performances this season obviously to much to understand for some..Good Luck
Jeeeesus Christ fella All we are saying is, we are (currently) the best team in the league, because we are top. What's so hard to understand? We aren't saying we'll be the best team come the end of the season, but right now, we are. You can't possibly deny that. The team who wins the league, is the best team. End of. That's the whole point of a league system. You're argument that Burnley are the best because they play the nicest football is... Nope, can't think of a nice way to put it. I guess Arsenal have been the best team in the Premier League over the last 10 years?
You could argubly say Watford were the 'best' team last season as they played some of the best football... but where did that get us? I think if you ask Arsenal if they'd give up some of their style for a few titles these last 9 years, they'd bite your hands off I think if you ask most fans if they'd prefer to play the 'best' or most 'effective' football, they'd go for effective. Saying that, from the limited time I've seen of Leicester (and other teams) this season, they have played some of the best football in the division - especially at the Vic. I'd actually put Burnley in the more 'effective' bracket, whilst having 2 of the best finishers! Oh, and if I had to pay to watch a game in this division (other than Watford)... I think I'd probably go for a Brighton v Leicester match
Think you might just have become an 'honorary' fox Kev ... mind you Queenie may well go into spasms as his 'most fans would prefer to watch Burnely' assertion is now under some pressure
Haha thanks but I'll pass Fosse Just like to say it how I see it... Obviously your first goal was rather lucky at our place but you looked pretty good otherwise! You're top on merit and have played some great stuff. You didn't panic after your Semi-Final defeat and have come beack stronger. Fair play as you could have hit the panic button, but you kept faith in the manager and players and it's paid dividends this season (so far)
I'd rather there were 6 games left than 16 Watford seem to have had a hard time this season, but your on a good run atm, think you could snatch a playoff place?
We've missed a few key players. We don't have a natural finisher like Vydra. As much as I like Deeney, you feel he'll miss 2 or 3 good chances for every one he scores. We've also missed that midfield enforcer-type player - a Hogg or Eustace. We feel we have one now in Tozser (not counting Diakite). We haven't had the best of luck with central-defenders with injuries, but we've simply not been good enough - far too many errors in too many games. As for play-offs, I think they are too far off. The new guy has come in and made our defence better. Our problem seems to be going into the lead as we then back off and allow teams to attack (you can tell the guy is Italian). I think we will be happy with a nice finish to the season, possibly a top-ten finish, then not too many changes in the summer (again).
... have to disagree here ... that was the closest thing to a good first touch that Chris Wood has shown in ages
Agree with this, although rather than effective I'd say efficient, since you could argue that the most effective side is always the one at the top. I'd guess (without checking stats) that we create more changes (through good football) than Burnley, but they put a greater percentage of efforts away. Watford were the best footballing side in the division by the end but, if I remember correctly, you got off to a bad start. If you'd played how you finished the season from day one, you'd have won the league.
QPR fans are so unbelievably stupid A few weeks ago we was riding our luck and now it's Derby riding their luck after last night Face facts QPR aren't that good while other teams play as a team and achieve success rather then 11 misfits kicking a ball around But I'm sure Ravel Morrison is the answer just like your other 15 new signings was
Queenie must be on to something with this best team thing Steve Bunce and Ian Murray where talking about it today on talksport with a bazaar scoring system to decide the best team in the premier taking all tournaments into consideration although not giving Queenie the credit i think we all know that this board has been blessed with the witterings and drivel of a total QPR fan http://talksport.com/radio/listen-again/1392804000 at about 11.50am onwards
Talking of my mate Queeny, where is he? all gone very quiet since their thumping against Reading I'm sure he will soon be back on here if we lose tonight, predicting yet another crumble!
Mate, im still around certainly not hiding, just given up on some as its obvious that a lot of your posters have ever played a decent level of football andtherefore i'm banging my head agaionst a brick wall some times. like i said, this was origionally a thread to congratulate you but some of your posters just cant understand that so its best niot to continue it. 5am Thurs here and havent seen any fixtures or scores yet. just into work Watched the first half of our Reading game and at half time it seemed it could go either way. didnt see the 2nd half but they obviously "crumbled" (for want of a better word) and lost. If you lot are playing tonight i guess its gonna be KO soon so I'll go check the sky sports and speak to you on the other side I'd like to wish you good luck but you know how it is?...
