everyone seems to think this one was in the bag. believe me if arsenal have come in, it's see ya seb...
Can't honestly see him going to Arsenal, he'd be a bit part player at best, does he really want to spend his career on the bench? i doubt it.
Reading this and the sky report it would seem Sky came after this and he says that he does not fancy bit part. Whatever we will know soon.
u r correct welder, also these quotes were taken a few days ago and since then we've emerged as favourites. I'm quite relaxed about it
Whats worrying me is that every other clubs transfer news are starting to increase in pace we can't even get the players signed that were supposed to be done deals. Even Demba Ba has chosen Newcastle N'Zog ffs just give Wigan the £10m they want and get him signed. I am becoming increasingly frustrated
Bloody hell man, the Metro newspaper is still reporting that Osama Bin Laden is on the run. To say its behind the times is an understatement.
This is on Sky. Its direct quotes from Larsson saying he's expecting word from Arsenal. Just another example of Safc sitting back and missing the boat. Adam Johnson Charles Nzogbia Seb Larsson Demba Ba. Imagine those 4 in Red and White. Id be very happy.
Larsson left Arsenal cos he wanted to play, and he has less chance of a game now than he did then. As i posted the other week, i know from the horses mouth that Larsson wants to come here and was just waiting for us to make an offer, i'm absolutely confident Seb will be here next season.
Too much twittering and twatting for my liking. SAFC can ill afford to start this season under prepared and the owners and manager must be aware of this. A bad start to the season will result in immense pressure on the managers position, already under scrutiny form last season for many of us. Bruce is no mug and will know along with Quinny that players have to be brought in and the right ones at that. If Larsson is a top target and he doesnt come, after all the stories of us being linked with him, its would be a poor reflection on everyone involved at the club IMO. Its time to stop dithering and get serious about targets. Okay, piss about with the N'Gog and Gibson deals but get serious with Crouch/Top Striker, NZogbia, Larsson, O Shea and Vaughan. They will make a difference IMO and should be brought in without haste.
Sebastian Larsson admits he's still in touch with former Arsenal teammates. The off contract Birmingham City midfielder has revealed Arsenal want to re-sign him this summer. Larsson still has friends at the club he left as a 22-year-old, most notably Gael Clichy, himself the subjected of much transfer speculation. Clichy has been linked with a switch to Premier League rivals Liverpool, one of those who tracking Larsson's situation, as are Sunderland, Blackburn and Newcastle. The Swede, 26, said: "I'm talking to a couple of the Arsenal players still. In particular, Clichy. "Of course I have also talked to my advisor. For every day that passes, I will get closer to a decision but it is also no stress to me. The most important thing is to get to a place that is a good next step in my career. It is the goal. It may take a week or a few weeks before it is finished. "I do not have full control of the situation and would rather not go into exactly what clubs the case of the moment. But I have not learned so much about Liverpool. What I can say No-where near finalised, i'd say.
A lot of Arsenal talk regarding Larsson, but nearly every story on it is quoting Metro speculation. So Id hold my breath on him going to Arsenal, but the same can be said for us. Personally I think hes just trying to wangle out a better deal from other clubs chasing him by dropping sly hints at Arsenal.
If he wants to warm the bench and collect his money the Arse is as good a place to do it as any. But if he wants first team action week in, week out, he'll have to look elsewhere (i.e. us, obviously). Up to him...
Cestria...on the contrary my dear pal..the Metro usually seems pretty much on the ball especially for a freebie...we ve got to be careful could be some truth in this
