Problem is guys..its all down to finance ATM. We have to go up regardless of how. Im not convinced we will & if we do itll be a painfull experience again.
At the moment I don't see us going up although I think from the position we was at from the start of the transfer window we should have done everything realistically possible to have achieved promotion this season. I don't really get the consolidating bit as there's no guarantees of promotion the following season or any season after that. We have got to re-builld in the summer whatever happens so would have preferred a rebuild based on Premiership footie rather than Championship footie & we're not going to attract the quality of player if still in the Championship so likely to be another season of loans.
The one thing we know Kiwi is that it certainly won't be this team playing in either the prem or the championship next season. More than 20 of them will be gone.
The problem we have as opposed to say, Man Utd or City is it is very hard to buy cheap mercenaries these days ............... they just don't have the morals like they used to. You know the old saying, " you only get what you pay for" Example - Cesar, great player but at around 100K a week, he shows he doesn't give a rats ass about his team. However, if you pay say, 200 - 300K a week, you get a quality player like say, Rooney ................ who pretends to give a fcuk and will even kiss his badge. There in lies the difference! We need to smarten up and buy wisely!
Why do you say that about Cesar? It's not his fault the club gave him a ridiculous contract, or that Harold did not want to play him to save the appearance money. H himself has said that he is a great player with a great attitude. No evidence at all that he didn't want to play for us - quite the reverse. He just didn't want to take a pay cut, which is his right, and we should have known this, it's exactly the reason he left Inter Milan. He's still under contract to us for at least one, possibly 2 more seasons. When Green's confidence goes I reckon we'll regret our stance on this bloke.
