Laura Young is a trainer who has this sweet knack of getting her horses well handicapped and then making the assessor look like a fool and I have a feeling that she is going to pull another stunt tomorrow with BANDOL 4.15 Taunton 14-1
The horse was placed in one of its bumpers so has hinted at ability. Now handicapped off a very lowly mark Dougie Costello gets the leg up again and I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't strongly punted before turning in a much improved effort. We shall see. Apart from that...just back what badger says! LOL

This caught my eye too Stick. Young won this last year with Dougie up top too. His only ride of the day too.

I'm a fan of Dougie Costello. Timeform seem sweet on The Happy Warrior and reckon Bandol's handicap is a bit harsh.

I wonder what they said about smokey's winners.

I like Millicent Silver. I think it won a very decent bumper!

    She's clear

Haha wouldn't deserve it at the moment. Have barely tipped up anything recently. Still trying to get a balance with my new job. Plus the midweek stuff recently has been largely dire!

I might have a problem looking at tomorrows runners. Watching Dynamo at present, or trying to. He just turned a frog ornament into a rel frog. A while back I sat on my glasses and broke off one of the arms (or whatever they are called) so they are just propped up by one ear. This evening, whilst on the phone taking instructions on how to operate the chip fryer, my glasses fell off. When I went to put them back on I noticed a thin piece of wire dangling. Unfortunately this is the piece of wire that holds in the lens. I found the lens on the kitchen floor and began to set about a repair. Unfortunately this proved to be a little difficult - well, impossible - as I could not see properly without my glasses on. Fortunately there is no-one else here because it would have been painful watching me try to thread a thin piece of wire through what might be a hole. Having given that up I decided to watch the TV wearing a pair of glasses that I can only describe as pathetic.

I am now experimenting to see if the eye, now without the aid of a lens, will grow stronger to match the other one; watching with one eye shut became a nuisance. I'm gradually getting used to it and seem to be managing OK typing this.

Maybe tomorrow I'll pop down to the opticians to get a long needed new pair; something my daughter has been telling me to do ever since I sat on whatever I can now call these. However I do tend to try and make do so I'll see how I feel in the morning.

Sorry for that interruption. It's a bit boring here on my own. All the horses have been fed, hayed and watered. The dogs are asleep. Bored f**king stiff.

Or he could just mend my eyes. This bit of wire dangling in front of my eye is pissing me off and I'm starting to get a head ache. I will soldier on though. Where's that race card?

Best TV series ever made - Western set in 1880s just after the Little Bighorn. I guarantee it is the best programme you have EVER seen <ok>
