Well that is our play off chances over, lets hope we have enough points & goals in the rest of the team to stay mid table..!
Bummer....thats definitely not good. Lets all now hope that SEB is fit enough to last the season and hopefully he hits the ground running. Without McG, we totally pants, and have no one else to carry our team. I never fancied our chances for the play offs before this injury, but this just makes it more difficult.
I wonder if Jack will be recalled - especially with SEB needing to prove his fitness, and with MM not rating Taylor.
Get Marriott straight back for me - apparently SEB miles off from reports v Blackpool. Taylor, perhaps your time to shine...!? MASSIVE blow this, please SEB make it through tonights game safely...!
Expect a lot of 0-0's and 1-0 now - but i agree, we need to get Jack back, and stick him straight in the team up front with Murphy on left, and Taylor on right.
Should be back just in time to give us a boost going into the play off games.... It's a big blow and now looks like we will have to wait even longer for a twenty goal a season man, but now is the time for others to step up to the plate, I would be pleased to see Marriott recalled but only if he will be a starter and I'm not sure he is ready yet but if needs must.
Very bad news. Realistically it was a long shot getting into the play offs so at least this might give Taylor/SEB a chance to leapfrog Nouble in the pecking order. I would rather SEB playing games to get his fitness back than Nouble running around and not achieving anything.
Well that blows......get well soon David. I think it would be a great idea to bring Jack back. He's getting good experience playing full matches at Woking but I reckon it would also be good for his development to get some championship minutes under his belt, even it's from the bench.
McGoldrick is our number one impact player, we hardly ever score from midfield, think the defence have outscored them. Ebanks Blake is a proven scorer at this level, but for me he's nowhere near full fitness, Taylor is a possibility, and have some hope for him, he has pace, and links up well with other players, whether he can score goals is another matter. Nouble is too raw, but could be worth a try for his nuisance value. For me, bringing Marriott back is not an option to start a match, perhaps as cover. Taylor his current manager doesn't start with him in many matches, not sure about recently, but it was several matches before he made a start, if he's not pulling trees up at Woking, then he's hardly going to star in a higher league here
Big blow but not the end, hopefully someone will step up to the plate. I hope Mick shows abit more faith in Taylor and as others have said perhaps bring Marriott back for a few games particularly if it looks like we won't make the playoffs. I get the feeling Mick will either bring a loan in or we'll go to even more defensive style tactics
' The 233 fans present weren't treated to a classic and will have hoped to see more from Ebanks-Blake during his just over an hour on the field. Although having little service, the former Wolves man didn't look ready for a full 90 minutes. â It's going to take a while on the SEB front me thinks...... sub at best this weekend I'd say. Murphy and Nouble doesn't bare thinking about as a front two, nor does Murphy as a lone striker. Surely, Taylor is going to have to go straight in, another loanee, or Marriott back from loan.
As for playing a youngster I think it will be the 22year old F Nouble that may well get a run of games.
