He's already said that before though, it's nothing new - it's more 'last months chip wrapper' than 'journalism gold'.
Exactly what Clarke Carlisle should have responded with - "But isn't Hull City shorter than Hull Tigers?" Nobody has asked "Have you looked into alternative ways of gaining money (other than building a sports village)?"
Is he genuinely still unable to differentiate between the name of the football club and the name of the company that owns it?
"you say, you love tradition, but you don't live in it " i have 8,000 years of ancient egyptian ancestors but we don't use hieroglyphs anymore, we use english"
He's saying nothing different from the nonsense he came out with at the start, so I reckon it's safe to assume it's the 'argument' he's presented to the FA, or rather his son, who seemingly doesn't support the change, presented. Are any bookies offering odds?
As far as my basic legal understanding goes, if he was to walk he basically breaches his side of the deal and eliminates any future rights with this club. Which ultimately means the debt would be wiped, I could be wrong but doing contract law last year as part of my degree I came across similar cases with smaller businesses and that was the end result
There are conditions attached to the parachute payments which are paid over 3 years so no he couldn't just keep them for himself, they are designed to cushion the club from the impact of a reduced income & to ensure players on high wages are still paid. Allam cannot sell any player who does not wish to leave & if he sacked them he would have to pay off their contracts & lose any transfer fee
Oh right didn't realise the payments came with conditions. On the players front I'm fairly sure they'd all accept being sold if they were told that they were not wanted, look what happened with Shane Long coming to us even though his family was settled in the midlands. I don't think Davies/McGregor/Huddlestone etc. would find it difficult to find a suitable club.
It is as if he is playing a game and dropping clues, like: 'he is the only owner in the PL who could walk away in 24hr's He's crazy as a Coot, but he's not stupid. How does he qualify for this simply said statement?
Do you know for a fact that he doesn't approve, or are you just drawing that conclusion as a result of him seemingly not openly backing his dad up on it?
I turned it off after the hieroglyphics bollocks. Plus, Clarke Carlisle is an awful commentator/ interviewer/ pundit.
This a thousand times. The media are letting us and football as a whole down. No one really understands the situation outside of Hull (and many City fans don't) because it's been reported on so poorly. The media get their little soundbites from Allam but they should be pressing him on his statements to get the full truth out. Even stupid things like saying he's shortening it. FFS it's longer why doesn't anyone point that out? How exactly are you going to walk out within 24 hours Allam? There's so many holes in what he says which are just begging to be questioned but the media are clearly **** scared of him. People take the piss when he isn't there but in face-to-face interviews they're all respectful. Financially he's by far the worst owner we've had. Duffen/Bartlett were bad but Allam has tripled their debt.
