All respect for your enthusiasm, but Southwell is one big dodge track for me at the best of times, let alone for this.

Nowt to do with hossracing, but that Russian lead-off girl in the Curling; what a dish! Well, alright, but as the American Alan King once said to a lass in the audience, "The roots are still there, dear!"

strange as it may seem -there is a valuable sand race at wolves this afternoon-funny thing is they have slotted it amongst a load of low grade handicaps--what is the idea-raise the profile of aw racing--surely if that's the case then have a card full of competitive racing-on a sat -night if need be -but are they just spreading the butter a bit thin with these one off races

horses moving yards to 'freshen' them up is an old trick-but what about enforced movement -Carroll Grey has had to move all his horses due to flooding-he has been kindly taken in by kevin Bishop -the horses seem to be loving it though-he's had a couple of big priced winners recently ...wonder if more owners/trainers should send their horses on holiday to another yard ?

Everyman and his dog seem to be saying the blue dog today and it looks to have a fair shout too, my concern though is hayley turners ride a little bit dusty boasting a 25%c/d record 2 losses at exsessive weights and a win and second around todays weight the 2nd being Haleys first outing on dusty in mid December Hayley was on dusty 2 weeks ago but over 16f so that run is exusable.
Dusty also boasts a 50% win record over the distance and the mark looks very handy today.
The times / distance / weights all look in good order so currently trading at 10s very nice ew price.
good luck though mark

Does anyone know where I can find out the date on which the entries are revealed for the Cheltenham Festival handicaps?

Grilled chicken breast with ratatouille, rice and a side salad. Glass of orange juice.

Top Irish trainer
facing drugs charges
By Jessica Lamb 12:05pM 17 FEB 2014

A LEADING Irish jumps trainer is due to appear before Carrick-on-Suir district court on Thursday charged with possession of prohibited animal remedies.

A search of the trainer's yard by the department of agriculture is alleged to have found the animal remedies and a spokesman for the department has confirmed that a hearing will take place this week, watched closely by the Turf Club.

"The department of agriculture, food and the marine confirms that a hearing is scheduled for Carrick-on-Suir district court on Thursday, February 20," the spokesman said.

"Charges are being brought under the Animal Remedies legislation alleging offences relating to possession of animal remedies."

Turf Club chief executive Denis Egan added: "The case involves banned animal remedies. We don’t know yet the precise nature of these products. But we will be paying close attention to what happens."

The department of agriculture's statement went on to state the potential seriousness of the charges.

"A person who commits one of the offences above is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding €5,000 or to a term of imprisonment not exceeding six months or to both."

Can't find anything Oddy, other than they were revealed on 27th Feb last year. Was hoping that the race conditions might indicate something but horses in these races don't appear to have their entries recorded in RP (at least the ones I looked up) so cant even find the race conditions.
