http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26218239 BBC Sport - Robbie Savage: How Arsenal turned the tables on Liverpool Conclusion: Some quality table-turning there by Arsenal
I like Allen, so maybe a bit biased, but I don't think the fella had a bad game at all! I can't fault any of the players yesterday, we played great, just wasteful in front of goal. Agger was a bit rusty but did well enough. Sterling is a phucking immense, he's not had a bad game for a few months now is getting better and better. Lost the game yes, but head held up high after that performance.
was meant as a tongue in cheek comment surely? we battered them in the league game, don't think he thinks for one minute they battered us lol.
That says it all really. Did he provide any lucid reasoning, other than he ****ing hates LFC as much as the Webb ****?
5/10? He would have been my LFC man of the match Sterling was a constant nuisance, held the ball well and made the right decisions more often than not.
5/10? Thats a joke! He was quality before going to RB where he then really impressed me. That lad can tackle!!!
How good was Sterling at RB by the way? Won a good few tackles while still got up to support the attack. I said it a little while ago, Gerrez think me and you were discussing it, that he could have a career there. Lots of full backs are concerted wingers and don't see why Sterling couldn't do that job. Maybe not long term but certainly put him in there and then you could still play Coutinho Sturridge Suarez as a front 3 with proper midfielders to control the game and offer protection to the defence.
Said before that Sterling is a little terrier - never lets anything go and knows how to tackle which you wouldn't normally associate with someone so slight and pacey another top performance.
Absolutely. Never seen him duck a challenge, even with opponents twice his size. Surprised he hasn't been sent off yet!
Webb will send him off next time he efs us, probarbly against the Mancs He's got a good memory has our Howard
Henderson had a wrist injury plus it was a good chance for Allen to get some minutes. Need to keep the squad as fresh as possible. And Sterling - our best player over the past month IMO. Needs to work on his decision making but that will come in time. But thsis guy is a serious menace - running with confidence, taking on players, tackling, fighting ... love it
Flanagan and Sterling have been our best players in the past month or so. Coutinho is really starting to show the form he had when he first joined too, he's a joy too watch
