Top 20 striker in the world but will never get above 18th
In the right league as don't if he would do well in the better footballing leagues where the game is different still

Money 300k won't stop there as I expect more crazy stuff to happen
Always said that's where we are heading

Max used to say Big money

they only wish for the same as pop stars after all players dont get repeat fees every time a goal is replayed popstars get paid every time their music is played. Posh Spice was worth more then golden balls when they got married the gold digger

At £40 a shirt it would take 400,000 shirts to match his annual wage. Of course that assumes that each shirt sale is 100% profit to Utd, which is obviously not the case (though the mark up on this tat is also obscene), so they would have to sell a lot more than that. And its not like he's a new signing with the wallet stretching excitement that brings. But I'm sure he is instrumental in attracting and keeping sponsors to the club. And I agree its a statement by the club.

He and Suarez are the best players I saw 'on the day' in our 2 years in the Prem. I can't work out the maths on this, or how they mitigate the massive risk of him being seriously injured or actually delivering on one of his periodic threats to flounce off - his value in the transfer market is, now, declining I think. But in some perverse accounting universe I assume this works.

Not strictly true. Its the credited songwriter who gets the royalties, not the performer.

Manu have been profitable up until now even with the massive debts
but i agree with the general view that money has ruined the game , whether it be owners panic about the manager they have employed and allowed to spend massive amounts of money. Or managers know that only the last couple of results count and will then sign only players that they believe will get results regardless of the costs or taking youth players on loan from the top clubs rather than give your own academy player the chance. Or even us fans calling fo change when it isn't working rather than giving it time (we wanted MON out just after he joined he got us promoted that season in the play-offs).
the only ones not at fault is the player after all we all want to earn more, just most of our bosses aren't worried they will be sacked every sunday

I think he could play in any league as he has superb technique.
