Would you have let your son attend CBC if you KNEW or suspected (fyi they are two different things) that the guy in charge was a child abuser?

Some of you may be aware by now of this excruciating embarrassment for Rangers known as the “Big Jock Knew” campaign (henceforth BJK). The chant, which has been fomented among the usual victims on a fans’ website and by certain Rangers supporters groups leaders, refers to a Celtic Boys Club controversy of more than 30 years ago.

The episode shocked Jock Stein, then the Celtic manager, when he was informed about it. Yet this Rangers song, as factually flawed and repellent as it is, tries to infer that Stein either condoned or attempted to cover-up the incident, which is nonsense.

I have to admit I never thought I’d ever see the day when Scottish football supporters sang a song about a child sex abuse case, yet Rangers have duly delivered. Even more amazing and shocking is Rangers FC’s ongoing silence on the matter, as this cretinous chant builds up its head of steam among supporters.

You "think" Jock Knew, there's no evidence of that whatsoever or you would have posted it.

Was wondering when you'd hit out with this pish - knew you wouldn't let me down.

When Rangers fans sing Big Jick Knew they aren't mocking the victims of child abuse no matter how much spin the Celtic PR machine attempts to put on it.....

They're reminding their biggest rivals of what was the biggest scandal in the history of Scottish football and of the fact that their manager knew about it but did all in his power to cover it up.

    It really is that simple.

So why when Torbett was convicted in 1998 did this campaign only begin 3-4 years ago? Any ideas?

As for the evidence there is none, your whole argument is based soley upon your "opinion", my argument is based uon the presumption of innocence and only hard facts can dispel that innocence, that's why you can't show any evidence against Jock. Simply put there is none.

It's a snide campaign started at almost exactly the time the Billy Boys and other poison was banned,(just after actually) the morons/bigots among your fanbase had to have something to try and wind Tims up about.

It's beneath contempt and even your own manager thinks so, it must turn his ****ing stomach to hear people sing it.

Just doing my nosey but still mainly "starring" on TF. There's so much nonsense posted on here i'd need 10 arms and 5 pcs to answer everything, it's old skool 606 with swearing and less brains.
