So we play Everton next Saturday at home. The trip to Galatasaray follows four days later. I think we need to start with a strong line-up, get the goals to put us ahead then take off our key players. Given that Moruinho may play for a draw in Turkey, I think we can go with our strongest line-up against Everton. For me it would be Cech Ivan - Cahill - Terry - Azpi Luiz - Matic Willian - Oscar - Hazard Eto'o I know Cole needs some love too but a lot of these players have points to prove after a couple of abject performances. Ramires was particularly woeful two games running. JT back is a must
PMSL I saw all their stupid comments as well, before games I'm busy chatting to my son as I don't see him all week, during the half time I have to have a wee and get more refreshment in and after the game sometimes I get to come on here. Wonder if they want to know what I have for my breakfast as well as it seems to bother them an awful lot what we get up to in our lives. JCC87, I give up trying to predict who Jose will play and where, he does baffle me at times but really hope Luiz Matic combo this time
I agree with just about all your selections except one. I would rest Ivan and put Azpi back where he belongs with Cole to play. Can't see it happening though, now that Mata is gone, someone has to play the victim. Can it be that Cole doesn't "track back " enough, or is he still paying for attending the Arsenal party?? Either way, I can't see how sitting on the sideline for months is the best thing for the Team. Not a side of Jose that does him distinction.
I really wonder why you follow Chelsea because call you do is go from one moan to another. We have the best defence in the Prem and you're still moaning about it. You must be a riot to go out with.
Maybe because he trusts his own enes and has a mind alle to take in more than just what's left in his glass. Mor. Pensioner's suggested Line up would be perfect for the Everton match, if you cannot see that Ivanovic is getting tired and Azpi is being stifled in an unnatural position then you Sir, are simply there to support whatever, which is admirable in it's way but certainly not what it could be or why Mr. Roman has and continues to spend the many Millions. Have you noviced how no one picks Mikel and Ramires by the way?
Thank you for sharing your concern. To put an end to your wondering, I think your main difficulty is understanding that any opinion that differs from yours is not moaning. There is no moan in my thread except in your mind, just some thoughts on team selection and what might improve it. Hope this is OK with you?? Sorry if you see this as moaning. I'm glad you feel so strongly that everything in your Chelsea world is great and wonderful and we should all be thankful, and that's that then. Aggression and abuse as a default position will lead to a very unhappy life.
Anticipate a tight game as we don't have a forward who can blow away the opposition - we're into the business end now and with city having an easy round of games coming up (minus barca) we need every win we can get to stay in contention. On a lighter note had to laugh at Bob Wilson calling Mourinho boring LOL........pot calling the kettle black. Watching MOM all those years ago he was the nearest thing we had to an android zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Like the idea but can you really see that happening!? Everton are a bit of a bogey side for us and I anticipate a tough game. I hope we get the win but can't see more than a goal in it. We must play our best side. The league is more important this year. We won't win the C.L, we have a real chance at the title but have to win games like this.
I actually think we are much more comfortable at home. Only unbeaten team at home this season Made plenty of chances in the last 2 home games against West Ham and Newcastle. Jose will have learnt from the last defeat to them, I hope.
We're not playing that well at the minute, our defending has become erratic & if you press us high up the pitch it could be a long afternoon for Distin & Jags. Not looking forward to this one at all.
I agree it's a good time to play you. You seem to have run out of steam a little after a brilliant few months. However the same could be said of West Ham a couple of weeks ago and we failed to score. Don't think you'll sit as deep as them but inevitably you'll be happy with a point so wont be too gung ho.
